Press Release

Publisher: Internationales Wirtschaftsforum Regenerative Energien (IWR)

July

Münster (Germany) – The mood in the renewable energy industry remained almost unchanged in July 2005. The business climate index of the International Economic Platform for Renewable Energies (Internationales Wirtschaftsforum Regenerative Energien (IWR)) fell by 0.3 points to 100.2 (down from 100.5 in June). Although companies thought the business situation in July had improved in comparison with the previous month, they also felt that the outlook was somewhat worse when measured against the first half year as a whole. “With the elections to the German Bundestag approaching, tension and anxiety appears to be growing slightly in the industry”, says IWR Managing Director Dr Norbert Allnoch. The export business and/or international trade in renewable energy technologies has improved since June.
