Nordex to install 32,5 MW wind farm in France

19 May 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - Nordex has obtained a new project order in France for 13 N100/2500 turbines. Nordex will supply and install the turbines for the wind farm “Eplessier” owned by one of the funds TTR Energy manages. The company was also involved in this project to support the three shareholders SAB WindTeam GmbH, Syscom Sarl and Loscon as one of four developers, via its distribution channel “Nordex Development”. “Eplessier” is located in the northern French region of Picardie, in the Somme area, and the N100/2500 is a good fit for the wind conditions at this particular site. BayWa r.e. signs Power Purchase Agreement at Vine Farm in England – its largest solar project to date

17 May 2016 | Munich (renewablepress) - At the beginning of May 2016, BayWa r.e. signed a long term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the Vine Farm solar park, which was recently commissioned in the UK. This PPA allows for the sale of power generated by the park at a fixed price for a period of 15 years. The contractual partner is Nationwide Building Society. The Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROCs), issued alongside the power generated, will be sold to SSE Energy Supply Limited. Sales rose by 28.3% to EUR 637.0 million (1st quarter 2015: EUR 496.5 million). This increase was materially due to operating performance in the production and installation areas. Nordex secures orders for two Irish wind farms totalling 42.5MW

29 Apr 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - Nordex has secured orders for two wind farms in the South West of Ireland totalling 42.5 MW, which will enter full operation in summer 2017. Both orders include a 15 year “Premium” full-service contract. The “Killaveenoge” Wind Farm near Drinagh in County Cork will feature ten N90/2500 turbines with a 125 m tip height for a local Irish developer. Turbine delivery is scheduled for October 2016. The seven turbine “Coollegrean” Wind farm near Brosna in County Kerry for Element Power will also feature N90/2500 turbines but with a 115 m tip height. Deutsche Windtechnik Assumes Responsibility for Servicing Nordex N117 Turbines

29 Apr 2016 | Bremen/Osnabrück (renewablepress) - The independent service provider Deutsche Windtechnik X-Service GmbH has received two contracts within the space of a few weeks for the new Nordex N117 turbines. The service specialists assumed responsibility for the maintenance of three N117 turbines for Planet energy GmbH (Greenpeace Energy) in March. Now the project developer Green City Energy AG from Munich has added a full maintenance contract for four more turbines. The unusual element: The wind farm will not begin operations until 2017. 22 Apr 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - At the beginning of the year two new projects with Nordex turbines started operation in the United States: "Thunder Spirit" in North Dakota with 43 N100/2500 turbines and "Fair Wind" in Maryland with 12 WTGs of the same type. Shortly prior to this the American administration approved the extension of the Production Tax Credit (PTC) – a decision that offers Nordex good opportunities in the future in the second largest wind market in the world, where the company holds a market share of around 7 percent following the merger with Acciona Windpower. 21 Apr 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - With the market launch of its solution for a needs-based aviation obstruction lighting system, Nordex is taking a major step towards boosting the acceptance of wind farms among nearby residents. On 4 March 2016, Nordex and its development partner were granted certification for their needs-based aviation obstruction lighting system. Nordex plans to begin serial production starting in the 4th quarter of this year, initially for the Germany market, and for other international key markets in the medium term. Nordex obtains orders for more than 40 MW in Turkey

14 Apr 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - In the first quarter of 2016, Nordex obtained three new orders for a total of more than 40 MW in Turkey. These projects, for 18 turbines altogether, are located in different regions of the country and cover wind classes IEC 1 to 3. The largest of the projects is the "Karacabey" wind farm in the province of Bursa, where Nordex will supply 12 N100/2500 turbines for this wind farm for its customer Arti Enerji, install them on a turnkey basis, and hand them over to the customer ready for operation.
