Nordex Group forms partnership with Lufthansa Aerial Services

23 Sep 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - Interdisciplinary collaboration across sector boundaries: the Nordex Group has formed a partnership with Lufthansa Aerial Services (LAS) for drone-supported inspection of its wind turbines. In doing so the manufacturer intends to draw on the experience of a global aviation expert that has know-how in research, development and automation and itself uses drone-assisted inspections in the construction industry or for aircraft. Nordex Group sells almost 72 MW in Germany

23 Sep 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - With eight new orders for projects in August, German sales recorded a successful month in the Nordex Group´s domestic market. The manufacturer is supplying a total of 28 turbines with altogether 71.7 MW to various customers for wind farms from Lower Saxony to Bavaria. The largest of the new projects is near Cologne in North-Rhine Westphalia, where the Nordex Group will be supplying eight N117/2400 turbines on 120-metre tubular steel towers to the "Heinsberg-Randerath" wind farm. The service will provide operators with transparent access to direct marketing information, including yield forecasts, current feed-in data, metering point data and settlements. Users of Neas Direct will be able to monitor and realistically asses the amount of energy that the assets in their portfolio are feeding into the grid. Nordex Ireland: 27.5 MW for the Emerald Isle

30 Aug 2016 | - Brookfield Renewable orders eleven N90/2500 turbines Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group is supplying eleven N90/2500 turbines for Brookfield Renewable in Ireland. The "Slievecallan East" project is located on the west coast of the Republic and is due to start operation with a nominal output of 27.5 MW at the end of next year. Nordex will be supplying the strong-wind turbines with 80-metre tubular steel towers and is in charge of the foundation work. The order also includes a 15-year Premium full-service contract. Nordex Group confirms negotiations with Acciona Energia in Chile

26 Aug 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group has confirmed that negotiations are currently being held with its partner Acciona Energia regarding a 183 MW wind farm in Chile. In the latest round of tenders on the Chilean energy market Acciona Energia - a close partner of the manufacturer - has been awarded the contract to feed some 500 GWh of electricity into the grid per annum. As the project developer announced last week, in this connection it is planning to build a 183 MW wind farm and is holding negotiations on this with the Nordex Group as the preferred turbine manufacturer. Nordex Group to build 66 MW wind farm in Brazil

01 Aug 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group will install 22 AW125/3000 turbines in Brazil for its customer EDF Energies Nouvelles. Acciona Windpower signed the contract for this project in the winter of 2015, prior to the merger with Nordex. The project was now booked as a firm order in June 2016 and has also been considered in the recent first half year report. The "Ventos da Bahia I" order to install the 22 AW3000 turbines is the company's first in the country since the merger with Acciona Windpower. Nordex secures 243 MW order for U.S. wind farm

27 Jul 2016 | - Manufacturer will supply 81 AW125/3000 turbines in Texas Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group has secured a new, 243 MW wind turbine order for the United States. The manufacturer has completed an agreement to supply eighty-one AW125/3000 turbines to a wind farm in Texas. The turbines are designed for IEC-2, medium-wind sites. Each turbine will be equipped with a 125-meter rotor and installed on an 87.5-meter tubular steel tower. Installation is expected to begin in early 2017. This latest deal continues the strong growth of the AW3000 platform in Texas.
