Nordex obtains unit certificate for N117/3000 according to VDE-AR-N 4120

16 Feb 2017 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - On 3 February 2017 the Nordex Group received the unit certificate according to VDE-AR-N 4120 (Technical requirements for the connection and operation of customer installations to the high voltage network (TCC High Voltage) for the N117/3000 turbine from FGH Zertifizierungsgesellschaft mbH in Mannheim. Presentation of the unit certificate is a prerequisite for connection to the German high-voltage grid (110 kV) and the operation of wind turbine generators as of 01 July 2017. OIS offshore Industrie Service GmbH and Green Wind Offshore GmbH acquire service contract for DolWin3

10 Feb 2017 | Berlin (renewablepress) - OIS offshore Industrie Service GmbH and Green Wind Offshore GmbH have joined forces to form the ARGE O&M Project DolWin3, now, contracted to provide maintenance services for GE Grid GmbH´s power-grid access, called: DolWin3. The DolWin3 is a 900 MW power-grid system -- direct current exclusively from the economic zone (AWZ) located south-west of the German North Sea. It will provide access for two of Clusters DolWin´s offshore wind parks, connecting them to Doerpen West´s, 400 kV land-based transformer station. Nordex grows in Germany and gains market share

07 Feb 2017 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group installed substantially more wind turbines – 267 units – in its domestic market in 2016 than in the previous year (2015: 176). This growth of around 50% slightly exceeded the internal budget. As the capacity of these turbines also rose, installed capacity climbed by an even sharper 58% over the previous year to 691 MW (2015: 437 MW). Average capacity per wind power system increased to around 2.6 MW (2015: 2.5). Nordex outperformed the industry as a whole, which posted gains of almost 24% to 4,625 MW (2015: 3,730 MW). Nordex with record order intake in Germany in 2016

13 Jan 2017 | • 28% increase in new business in Germany to EUR 1.17 billion Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group closed 2016 with strong December order intake in Germany. In the last month of the year alone, it received orders for 89 wind turbines in 33 projects with a combined capacity of 262.5 MW. Consequently, Nordex recorded full-year order intake of over EUR 1.17 billion in Germany in 2016, the highest level in that country since the company´s incorporation in 1985. Nordex supplies 22 large turbines to Australia

12 Jan 2017 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - Uptrend Down Under: End of 2016 the Nordex Group has signed a contract for supplying 22 AW125/3000 turbines for the construction of the first phase of "Mount Gellibrand" wind farm in Australia. This 66 MW project is located near Colac, in Western Victoria state, in the south-east of the country. The customer is the Spanish project developer Acciona Energia. This is the first Australian project for the Nordex Group since the acquisition of the Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Acciona Windpower in April 2016. Turkish customers order 19 turbines totalling 68.4 MW

14 Dec 2016 | - N117/3600 also proving a success in Turkey Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group has received its first order for wind farms with the N117/3600 in Turkey. Its customers Bakir Enerji and Marmarares Elektrik have ordered a total of 19 turbines with a combined capacity of 68.4 MW for the "Esenköy" and "Kürekdagi" projects. "Esenköy" is located in the Marmara region in the north-west of Turkey. Nordex will be installing nine N117/3600s on 106 metre tubular steel towers at this site. Nordex Group secures new order in the US

13 Dec 2016 | • IPP purchases safe harbor components from Nordex for future wind farm projects • Ordering components ensures that wind farm operator obtains top tax credit from Production Tax Credit Hamburg (renewablepress) - An international IPP has now signed a contract with the Nordex Group for PTC qualifying components corresponding to a value of 32 million US Dollars. Nordex Group to supply 228 MW for E.ON project in the US

08 Dec 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - E.ON has placed a new order with the Nordex Group for a 228 MW project in the United States. Nordex will be installing 76 AW125/3000 turbines at the Bruenning´s Breeze Wind Farm in Texas. The IEC-2b turbine with its rotor diameter of 125 metres is designed for medium wind speed conditions like those found in the area near Bruenning´s Breeze, and makes it possible for E.ON to realise a project with a low cost of energy. The manufacturer will be installing the turbines on 87.5 metre tubular steel towers. E.ON plans to commission the turbines at the end of next year.
