18 May 2018 | - juwi AG Supervisory Board extends Contract Wörrstadt (renewablepress) - At its most recent meeting the Supervisory Board of juwi AG approved the five years extension of Michael Class’ contract as juwi CEO. juwi AG is headed by a three-person management board. The scope of responsibilities of 50-year old Michael Class include all business activities of the operating German business units in the fields of project development and O&M services. Triodos Bank has entered the offshore wind sector and was again named as most active global lead arranger for financing of renewable energy projects

17 May 2018 | Frankfurt/Main (renewablepress) - In mid-April Triodos Bank closed a participation of the financing of the operating wind farm Nordsee One and took over a part of the total investment. The wind farm has 54 Senvion 6.2M turbines which were installed at the end of 2017 about 50km from the German shore. The wind farm covers an area of 40km2 and is expected to produce 1.200GWh. This means that Nordsee One will be able to provide for the power consumption of approximately 400,000 average households and will save over one million tons of CO2 compared to a conventional coal fired plant." RIVE Private Investment and Mirova acquire a 60 MW wind project in France from Nordex

03 May 2018 | Hamburg / Paris (renewablepress) - RIVE Private Investment and Mirova, through its fund Mirova-Eurofideme 3, have acquired “Le Douiche” wind farm, a ready-to-build onshore wind project in France from the Nordex Group. The manufacturer will be supplying 20 N117/3000 turbines with a total capacity of 60 MW for the wind farm, split into two project companies. Installation of the turbines is scheduled for this summer with commissioning scheduled for around the end of 2018. Nordex launches N133/4.8 for strong-wind sites

26 Apr 2018 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group is extending its Delta4000 product series introduced in autumn 2017 to include a turbine especially designed for strong-wind sites: the N133/4.8. The rotor blade from the proven N131 turbine has been integrated into the Delta4000 series for the N133/4.8. By combining this rotor blade with the hub and nacelle of the N149/4.0-4.5, also from the Delta4000 product series, it was possible to increase the rotor diameter to 133 metres. Nordex Group awarded contract for 147 MW in South Africa

24 Apr 2018 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - With the signing of the power purchase agreement by public-sector utility Eskom, the contract for the installation of the South African wind farm “Roggeveld” has now also come into effect. This order for the Nordex Group entails 47 AW125/3150 and AW125/3000 turbines with a combined capacity of around 147 megawatts and a high capacity factor of more than 47 percent. The contract comprises the delivery of the turbines including the towers, which are to be produced in South Africa, as well as service for at least 15 years. Nordex commencing tower production in Brazil

06 Apr 2018 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group has opened a plant in the North Brazilian state of Brazil Piaui for the production of concrete towers. The plant is to produce the 65 towers required for the “Lagoa do Barro” wind farm, which Nordex will be installing in the near future. It marks one of the first major investments in this state’s wind power industry. Large parts of the plant were originally used at a former facility in the south of Brazil and transported in heavy-duty loads to Lagoa do Barro City in a good 300 trips.
