Nordex installs the first N131/3600 – product launch on schedule

30 Nov 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group has received the first order for the installation of its second turbine introduced in September. The manufacturer will be setting up its light-wind N131/3600 turbine in December for GP Joule, a project developer. The site of the project is located near Husum at Windtestfeld Nord in Schleswig-Holstein, where the turbine is expected to produce an annual energy yield of 12.9 million kWh, equating to a capacity factor of more than 40 percent. Nordex will be installing the turbine on a 106 metre tubular steel tower. ESB extends cooperation with Nordex in Ireland and UK

25 Nov 2016 | - Irish utility orders 14 new turbines and renews Service contracts on four windfarms Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group has secured a new project order in Ireland in September this year. The manufacturer will supply and install turbines to the 33.1 MW “Castlepook” wind farm, jointly-owned and developed by Irish semi-state companies ESB (Electricity Supply Board) and Coillte. The project site is located in the Ballyhoura Forest in County Cork in the south of Ireland, and will feature 14 N90/2500 wind turbines with a 125m tip height. Nordex Finland: ABO Wind Oy orders nine N131/3000 turbines

25 Nov 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - Business in Finland continues to grow for Nordex: a major customer, ABO Wind, has ordered nine turbines from the 3 MW series with a rotor diameter of 131 metres through its Finnish subsidiary, ABO Wind Oy. Preparations for installation of the N131/3000 machines for a wind farm in western Finland are to start this winter and the wind farm will be fully operative in autumn 2017. Nordex is also responsible for service and maintenance of the turbines for a period of 15 years on the basis of a Premium Service contract. Nordex: first N117/3600 to start operation in November

16 Nov 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - Just a short time after the market launch of the N117/3600, in September 2016 the Nordex Group received the first order from WIND-consult Measuring Company for a project with the new turbine for IEC-2 sites. In November the first N117/3600 is to start operation in Bargeshagen, near Rostock. With a wind speed of 7.1 m/s at hub height the site offers good conditions for measuring the IEC-2 turbine. Six new orders for the Nordex Group in France

28 Oct 2016 | - Manufacturer sells turbines with total capacity of 93.3 MW Hamburg (renewablepress) - So far this autumn, Nordex has obtained six new orders for wind farm projects in France. Altogether, 38 turbines with a combined capacity of 93.3 MW have been sold to different customers: 17 N117/2400s, 15 N100/2500s and six N90/2500s. Nordex will provide service for all these machines after installation on the basis of a Premium Service contract for periods of 10 or 15 years. Tail wind for Nordex in Germany

14 Oct 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - In September, Nordex was awarded six new contracts with a combined value of around EUR 64 million in its domestic market, bringing total new business in this region to over EUR 740 million in the year to date. Last month, Nordex customers ordered 17 multi-MW turbines. The orders were dominated by low and medium-wind (IEC 2 and 3) products, in which Nordex particularly specialises in Germany. “I consider the growing demand for our Delta series to be a good sign. BayWa r.e. sells 30 MW wind farm in the UK

05 Oct 2016 | Munich (renewablepress) - BayWa r.e. has sold its 29.7 MW Fraisthorpe wind farm, situated near Bridlington. The site has been acquired by funds managed by the UK investment fund manager Octopus Investments, one of the UK´s largest investors in renewable energy. This is the fifth successful wind farm sale from the BayWa r.e. portfolio to take place in the UK to date. Upon acquiring the consented project in December 2014, BayWa r.e. assumed responsibility for procurement, project financing and implementation of the project.
