Nordex receives new order in Finland

14 Mar 2017 | - ABO Wind orders three N131/3000 turbines Hamburg (renewablepress) - The international developer ABO Wind has placed another order with Nordex to build a wind farm in Finland. Following the customer´s last order covering nine turbines in November 2016, a new one has now been placed for three N131/3000s for a new project in west Finland. Nordex will supply the machines for the "Muntila" wind farm from September 2017 and install them on 114 metre steel towers. Nordex will be setting up the cold-climate version of the turbine in order to enable the customer to obtain the best possible yields at this site. Nordex once again market leader in Turkey

09 Mar 2017 | - Manufacturer achieves 25 percent market share Hamburg (renewablepress) - In 2016 Nordex consolidated its position as market leader in Turkey. With some 350 megawatts the manufacturer accounted for a good 25 percent of the capacity installed in 2016. This means that Nordex remains the frontrunner in the market as a whole: with 1.5 GW the company has set up around one quarter of the total installed capacity in Turkey amounting to 6.1 GW. In 2016 the Sales division rounded off the good installation figures in Turkey with a strong result in terms of new business. Nordex strengthens its position in Ireland

06 Mar 2017 | - Nordex turbines of more than 500 MW operating in the Republic of Ireland Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group has passed a new milestone in the Republic of Ireland: with the commissioning of Energia Renewables´ 95 megawatt (MW) “Meenadreen” wind farm in Donegal the manufacturer passed the 500 MW mark for turbines in operation. In total, Nordex turbines with a capacity of 529 MW are now producing green power for the Irish Republic, corresponding to a market share of almost 20 percent. Nordex obtains unit certificate for N117/3000 according to VDE-AR-N 4120

16 Feb 2017 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - On 3 February 2017 the Nordex Group received the unit certificate according to VDE-AR-N 4120 (Technical requirements for the connection and operation of customer installations to the high voltage network (TCC High Voltage) for the N117/3000 turbine from FGH Zertifizierungsgesellschaft mbH in Mannheim. Presentation of the unit certificate is a prerequisite for connection to the German high-voltage grid (110 kV) and the operation of wind turbine generators as of 01 July 2017. 10 Feb 2017 | Berlin (renewablepress) - OIS offshore Industrie Service GmbH and Green Wind Offshore GmbH have joined forces to form the ARGE O&M Project DolWin3, now, contracted to provide maintenance services for GE Grid GmbH´s power-grid access, called: DolWin3. The DolWin3 is a 900 MW power-grid system -- direct current exclusively from the economic zone (AWZ) located south-west of the German North Sea. It will provide access for two of Clusters DolWin´s offshore wind parks, connecting them to Doerpen West´s, 400 kV land-based transformer station. Nordex grows in Germany and gains market share

07 Feb 2017 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group installed substantially more wind turbines – 267 units – in its domestic market in 2016 than in the previous year (2015: 176). This growth of around 50% slightly exceeded the internal budget. As the capacity of these turbines also rose, installed capacity climbed by an even sharper 58% over the previous year to 691 MW (2015: 437 MW). Average capacity per wind power system increased to around 2.6 MW (2015: 2.5). Nordex outperformed the industry as a whole, which posted gains of almost 24% to 4,625 MW (2015: 3,730 MW). Nordex with record order intake in Germany in 2016

13 Jan 2017 | • 28% increase in new business in Germany to EUR 1.17 billion Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group closed 2016 with strong December order intake in Germany. In the last month of the year alone, it received orders for 89 wind turbines in 33 projects with a combined capacity of 262.5 MW. Consequently, Nordex recorded full-year order intake of over EUR 1.17 billion in Germany in 2016, the highest level in that country since the company´s incorporation in 1985. Nordex supplies 22 large turbines to Australia

12 Jan 2017 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - Uptrend Down Under: End of 2016 the Nordex Group has signed a contract for supplying 22 AW125/3000 turbines for the construction of the first phase of "Mount Gellibrand" wind farm in Australia. This 66 MW project is located near Colac, in Western Victoria state, in the south-east of the country. The customer is the Spanish project developer Acciona Energia. This is the first Australian project for the Nordex Group since the acquisition of the Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Acciona Windpower in April 2016.
