Nordex with record order intake in Germany in 2016

13 Jan 2017 | • 28% increase in new business in Germany to EUR 1.17 billion Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group closed 2016 with strong December order intake in Germany. In the last month of the year alone, it received orders for 89 wind turbines in 33 projects with a combined capacity of 262.5 MW. Consequently, Nordex recorded full-year order intake of over EUR 1.17 billion in Germany in 2016, the highest level in that country since the company´s incorporation in 1985. This order intake is included in the figure of EUR 3.3 billion for 2016 reported on 11 January 2017. Nordex supplies 22 large turbines to Australia

12 Jan 2017 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - Uptrend Down Under: End of 2016 the Nordex Group has signed a contract for supplying 22 AW125/3000 turbines for the construction of the first phase of "Mount Gellibrand" wind farm in Australia. This 66 MW project is located near Colac, in Western Victoria state, in the south-east of the country. The customer is the Spanish project developer Acciona Energia. This is the first Australian project for the Nordex Group since the acquisition of the Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Acciona Windpower in April 2016. The geographical distribution of 2016 orders mirrored the intended broadening of Nordex´ market footprint following the acquisition of Acciona Windpower effective 1 April 2016. Turkish customers order 19 turbines totalling 68.4 MW

14 Dec 2016 | - N117/3600 also proving a success in Turkey Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group has received its first order for wind farms with the N117/3600 in Turkey. Its customers Bakir Enerji and Marmarares Elektrik have ordered a total of 19 turbines with a combined capacity of 68.4 MW for the "Esenköy" and "Kürekdagi" projects. "Esenköy" is located in the Marmara region in the north-west of Turkey. Nordex will be installing nine N117/3600s on 106 metre tubular steel towers at this site. Nordex Group secures new order in the US

13 Dec 2016 | • IPP purchases safe harbor components from Nordex for future wind farm projects • Ordering components ensures that wind farm operator obtains top tax credit from Production Tax Credit Hamburg (renewablepress) - An international IPP has now signed a contract with the Nordex Group for PTC qualifying components corresponding to a value of 32 million US Dollars. The total volume of the customer´s upcoming US projects, based on this contract, is expected to equate to 15 times the total value of the agreement. Nordex Group to supply 228 MW for E.ON project in the US

08 Dec 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - E.ON has placed a new order with the Nordex Group for a 228 MW project in the United States. Nordex will be installing 76 AW125/3000 turbines at the Bruenning´s Breeze Wind Farm in Texas. The IEC-2b turbine with its rotor diameter of 125 metres is designed for medium wind speed conditions like those found in the area near Bruenning´s Breeze, and makes it possible for E.ON to realise a project with a low cost of energy. The manufacturer will be installing the turbines on 87.5 metre tubular steel towers. E.ON plans to commission the turbines at the end of next year. Nordex installs the first N131/3600 – product launch on schedule

30 Nov 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group has received the first order for the installation of its second turbine introduced in September. The manufacturer will be setting up its light-wind N131/3600 turbine in December for GP Joule, a project developer. The site of the project is located near Husum at Windtestfeld Nord in Schleswig-Holstein, where the turbine is expected to produce an annual energy yield of 12.9 million kWh, equating to a capacity factor of more than 40 percent. ESB extends cooperation with Nordex in Ireland and UK

25 Nov 2016 | - Irish utility orders 14 new turbines and renews Service contracts on four windfarms Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group has secured a new project order in Ireland in September this year. The manufacturer will supply and install turbines to the 33.1 MW “Castlepook” wind farm, jointly-owned and developed by Irish semi-state companies ESB (Electricity Supply Board) and Coillte. The project site is located in the Ballyhoura Forest in County Cork in the south of Ireland, and will feature 14 N90/2500 wind turbines with a 125m tip height. Nordex Finland: ABO Wind Oy orders nine N131/3000 turbines

25 Nov 2016 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - Business in Finland continues to grow for Nordex: a major customer, ABO Wind, has ordered nine turbines from the 3 MW series with a rotor diameter of 131 metres through its Finnish subsidiary, ABO Wind Oy. Preparations for installation of the N131/3000 machines for a wind farm in western Finland are to start this winter and the wind farm will be fully operative in autumn 2017. Nordex is also responsible for service and maintenance of the turbines for a period of 15 years on the basis of a Premium Service contract.
