Nordex USA liefert 35 Anlagen für zwei Windparks in Iowa
- Folgeauftrag von RPM Access mit Gesamtkapazität von 87,5 MW
Hamburg (iwr-pressedienst) - Der US-amerikanische Windparkentwickler RPM Access setzt die Zusammenarbeit mit Nordex fort und hat 35 Anlagen des Typs N100/2500 bestellt. Der Auftrag beinhaltet auch den Nordex-Premiumservice für zwölf Jahre. Nordex USA wird die Turbinen ab Mai kommenden Jahres aus dem Werk in Arkansas liefern und in den Windparks "Hawkeye" und "Rippey" im Bundesstaat Iowa errichten. Ab Herbst 2012 sollen sie Strom produzieren.Der Windpark "Hawkeye" umfasst 15 Anlagen und somit eine Kapazität von 37,5 Megawatt. Für das Projekt "Rippey" sind 20 Anlagen, also eine Gesamtleistung von 50 Megawatt, geplant. Mit "Hawkeye" und "Rippey" wird Nordex in Iowa kommendes Jahr 130 Megawatt am Netz haben. Damit können 39.000 US-Haushalte mit sauberem Strom versorgt werden.
Das erste gemeinsame Projekt von Nordex und RPM Access war der 42,5-Megawatt-Windpark "Elk", ebenfalls in Iowa. Nordex hat den Park gerade in Betrieb genommen. "Die Nordex-Mitarbeiter haben bei diesem Projekt bewiesen, dass sie schnell und flexibel handeln können. Unser Vertrauen in das Unternehmen und die Qualität seiner 2,5-Megawatt-Anlagen hat uns überzeugt, dass Nordex der richtige Lieferant für die beiden neuen Windparks ist", sagt Stephen Dryden, Geschäftsführer von RPM Access.
"Iowa ist der erste US-Bundesstaat, der 20 Prozent seines Strombedarfs mit Windenergie deckt. Wir sind stolz, einen weiteren Beitrag dazu zu leisten", betont Ralf Sigrist, Geschäftsführer von Nordex USA. Ende 2011 wird Nordex 179 2,5-Megawatt-Anlagen mit einer Gesamtkapazität von 447,5 MW in sieben US-Bundesstaaten errichtet haben.
