02 Dec 2020 | - Second N149/5.X turbine installed Hamburg (renewablepress) - On 30 November 2020 the Nordex Group received the IEC Type Certificate, which is valid worldwide, in accordance with the standard IEC 61400-22 for the N149/5.X turbine from TÜV SÜD. In September the Nordex Group installed the first N149/5.X in the Genshagener Heide wind farm near Potsdam, Germany. On 28 November 2020 Nordex already installed the second turbine of this type at Santow, near Grevesmühlen in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania in Germany as well, with its Anti-Icing System. 01 Dec 2020 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - After only four months of construction work the Nordex Group has started up its new mobile concrete tower production plant in Spain. In Motilla del Palancar, in Castilla-La Mancha, a production facility for concrete towers covering more than 120,000 square metres has been set up. The Nordex Group began production of the first concrete tower segments already in September 2020. Today the Group employs 250 people in this plant and later this figure is to be increased to 300. The factory only manufactures for the Group's own requirements. At the end of November 2020, the company is providing maintenance for wind turbines with a rated power of more than 10 GW. 17 Nov 2020 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group has optimized the aerodynamics of the rotor blades of a total of 80 N100/2500 wind turbines for the long-standing Turkish customer, Eksim. By installing the vortex generators, the power output of the older generation turbines will be increased by up to 2%. The Nordex Group offers its customers the vortex generator upgrade as an additional option for the N100 turbines from the company’s Gamma Generation with blades that were not previously equipped with this solution. 11 Nov 2020 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group has received another large order for the N149/4.0-4.5 from the Delta4000 series. A wind farm developer has placed an order with the Nordex Group for 63 turbines for a project in the United States. The project and customer are undisclosed. In the summer of 2021 the Nordex Group will be starting to deliver and install the turbines for this project in the state of Texas. The turbines are to be supplied in a project-specific operating mode of 4.8 MW, resulting in a total output for the wind farm of 302.4 MW. With this latest order from the USA today the Nordex Group can look back on 3.7 gigawatts in turbines sold in the state of Texas alone.... read more...
