23 Sep 2020 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - In the current quarter, Nordex Group received further new orders totalling 227 MW from Europe. The main sales market was Germany with 86 MW, followed by the Netherlands with approximately 70 MW, France with 42 MW and Belgium with 29 MW. The Nordex Group - a profile The Group has installed more than 29 GW of wind energy capacity in over 40 markets and in 2019 generated revenues of EUR 3.3 billion. 21 Sep 2020 | Wörrstadt (renewablepress) - Boulder-based juwi Inc. and Colorado Springs Utilities announced they signed a power purchase agreement for a 175-megawatt (MW) solar project coupled with a 25 MW, four-hour battery energy storage system. For a wind farm in Texas, the manufacturer will supply 65 N149/4.0-4.5 turbines in the 4.8 MW operating mode. Installation is scheduled to start in May 2021 and the wind farm will be connected to the grid later the same year. 15 Sep 2020 | Helsinki (renewablepress) - Wind power company CPC Finland and Finnish energy group Helen (municipal energy company of the city of Helsinki) have entered into a joint venture (40% CPC, 60% Helen) for construction, owning and operating the 86 MW Lakiakangas 3 wind farm in Western Finland. The construction has been commenced and the wind farm is scheduled to be commissioned during the last quarter of 2021. The Lakiakangas 3 wind farm consists of 20 Vestas V150-4.3 MW turbines and is located in the municipalities of Kristiinankaupunki and Isojoki in Finland. 14 Sep 2020 | - Preparation of the measuring and validation programme for type certification Hamburg (renewablepress) - On 8 September the Nordex Group installed the first N149/5.X turbine in the Genshagener Heide wind farm near Potsdam, Germany. In spring 2019 the Nordex Group had opened the market segment for 5 MW turbines with this turbine type. This month the first N149/5.X will start operation on schedule. Following the installation of the turbine, preparation commences for the measuring and validation programme for the type certification of the N149/5.X. 11 Sep 2020 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - As part of the regular validation and certification process for its turbines in the Delta4000 series, the Nordex Group has replaced the gearboxes first installed in two N149/4.0-4.5 turbines in Wennerstorf, Lower Saxony, Germany. The turbines installed at this site in 2018 are the world’s first Delta4000 turbines of this model. The turbines have been in operation since August and November 2018 respectively and are subjected to a detailed assessment of their condition after the first 15 and 24 months of operation.
