07 May 2026 | Meissen (renewablepress) - German energy park developer UKA has sold Vietlübbe wind farm, the third transaction of its kind this year. The wind farm located in the German state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania comprises 14 state-of-the-art wind turbines with a total rated capacity of around 80 megawatts. The turbines went into full operation in November 2025. A renaissance with significant market growth is still not in sight. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), three new nuclear power plants came online worldwide in 2025 (2024: six). At the same time, seven older plants were permanently shut down (2024: four). Overall, this amounts to a net decline in the number of plants. Sales reached around EUR 1.6 billion in Q1/2026, a 10.6 percent increase compared to the first quarter last year (Q1/2025: EUR 1.4 billion). Gross revenue, including changes in inventories, was EUR 1.6 billion, in line with same period of last year.
