16 Sep 2024 | Bremen (renewablepress) - Deutsche Windtechnik Sweden is delighted to announce the signing of a full-maintenance contract with Wallenstam for 23 Vestas V90 wind turbines. The turbines are spread across nine different wind farms in southern Sweden. The contract covers servicing until the turbines reach 30 years of age, significantly exceeding the average operational lifetime of 20 years. This long-term cooperation represents Deutsche Windtechnik Sweden's first foray into extending turbine lifespan on the service level by 10 years, extending operational time by 50%. The project, currently in an advanced development stage, is expected to have a capacity of 46 MW for solar PV and 40 MW for BESS. It is located in Rhineland-Palatinate. 13 Sep 2024 | Münster (renewablepress) - The use of solar energy in Germany continues to grow. From January to August 2024, new solar systems with a capacity of around 10,200 MW were installed (same period in 2023: 10,100 MW). This is the result of a recent evaluation of data from the Market Master Data Register (MaStR) maintained by the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) by the Internationales Wirtschaftsforum Regenerative Energien (IWR). In total, around 4.5 million solar installations with an installed capacity of around 93,200 MW are in operation in Germany as of the end of August 2024 (BNetzA data status: 05.09.2024). 12 Sep 2024 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - Ørsted has placed an order with the Nordex Group to supply and install nine N133/4800 turbines for the 43 MW Farranrory wind farm in Ireland. The order also includes a Premium Plus Service agreement contract where Nordex will service the turbines for a period of 20 years from the service commencement date. The contract is the first agreement entered into by Danish Energy company, Ørsted - one of the largest renewable energy companies in the world - and the Nordex Group.
