Eesti Energia and emsys VPP Prequalify Solar Park in the Baltics for Frequency Markets

18 Jun 2025 | Tallinn/Oldenburg (renewablepress) - Eesti Energia, an Estonian publicly owned energy utility, and emsys VPP, a German provider of Virtual Power Plants, have officially prequalified one of the largest solar parks in the Baltics for providing automatic Frequency Restoration Reserve (aFRR) and manual Frequency Restoration Reserve (mFRR). The Sopi Solar Park is operated by Eesti Energía´s subsidiary Enefit Green. 18 Jun 2025 | Cuxhaven (renewablepress) - PNE Group is once again internationally successful. At the beginning of June 2025, Standard Bank confirmed financial close on the 240MW Khauta South PV site. In addition, financial close for the 110MW Khauta West PV site is expected by the end of July 2025. Financial close marks the final payment milestone in the sales and development services agreements, and thus the completion of the project for WKN Windcurrent (PNE Group’s South African Development team). PNE Group expands wind farm in Schleswig-Holstein – 22.4 MW additional capacity for climate-friendly energy supply

06 Jun 2025 | Gnutz (renewablepress) - In the Schleswig-Holstein district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde, the PNE Group has successfully completed the expansion of its wind farm in the municipality of Gnutz. With the commissioning of four additional wind turbines in the Gnutz West I b section, the installed capacity of the site has increased by a further 22.4 megawatts. The expansion comprises two Vestas V162 turbines and two V150 turbines, each with a rated power of 5.6 MW. Nordex Group receives an order for 56 MW from UMaAG for a repowering project in Germany

05 Jun 2025 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group has received a new order from Umwelt Management AG UMaAG (UMaAG) of Cuxhaven, Germany. As part of the Drochtersen repowering project in Lower Saxony, the Nordex Group will supply and install a total of eight N163/6.X wind turbines. The order also includes a 20-year premium service contract package that ensures long-term and reliable operation of the wind turbines. The installation of the first turbine is planned for autumn 2026. Full commissioning of all turbines with hybrid towers and hub heights of 164 meters is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027. Nordex Group receives orders for 65 MW in France

27 May 2025 | Hamburg (renewablepress) - The Nordex Group has received two new contracts in France, covering the delivery and installation of wind turbines for two separate wind farms. The contracts include the supply of six N163/5.X turbines, six N131/3.X units, and one N149/5.X turbine — amounting to a total installed capacity of 64.7 MW. Each contract also includes a multi-year service and maintenance contract to ensure long-term turbine performance and reliability. 22 May 2025 | Wroclaw/Racibórz/Dresden (renewablepress) - Successful start of operations: Another wind farm from VSB Poland is now online. In the Silesian municipality of Pietrowice Wielkie, the Racibórz wind farm has recently been reliably producing green energy with a total capacity of 41.6 megawatts (MW). The new wind farm will immediately save around 44,000 tons of harmful CO2 emissions per year and supply approximately 36,000 households in the southern Polish Silesia region with cleanly produced electricity.
