Nordex USA erhält Auftrag für 40-MW-Windkraftwerk
Hamburg, Chicago (iwr-pressedienst) - Für seinen US-Kunden Exelon Wind errichtet Nordex noch im laufenden Jahr den Windpark "Fourmile Ridge" im Nordwesten des Bundestaates Maryland. Der Auftrag umfasst 16 Turbinen der Baureihe Nordex N100/2500 mit Nabenhöhen von 100 Metern sowie einen Premium-Service-Vertrag mit einer Laufzeit von 20 Jahren.
Aufgrund der mittleren Windverhältnisse am Standort verspricht die für die Windklasse IEC 2 zertifizierte robuste und bewährte N100/2500-Turbine der Generation Gamma einen optimalen Ertrag. Aufgrund des rauen Klimas mit Wintertemperaturen oft weit unter - 10 °C liefert der Hersteller die Anlagen in der Cold-Climate-Version.
Für Exelon Wind hat Nordex bereits im Jahr 2012 34 Turbinen des Typs N117/2400 für den Windpark Beebe in Michigan errichtet. Zurzeit installiert das Unternehmen weitere 21 dieser Anlagen für die Erweiterung dieses Windfelds. "Dies ist ein Erfolg für unsere Windtechnologie und das Nordex-Team in den USA. Ich freue mich, dass wir mit dem Auftrag erneut mit unserem Kunden Exelon im nordamerikanischen Markt punkten können", so Vorstandsmitglied Lars Bondo Krogsgaard.

Weltweit ist das Unternehmen in 22 Ländern mit Büros und Tochtergesellschaften vertreten. Derzeit beschäftigt die Gruppe weltweit mehr als 2.500 Mitarbeiter.
