Nordex liefert 22 Großturbinen nach Australien
Hamburg (iwr-pressedienst) - Aufwind in Down-Under: Die Nordex-Gruppe hat Ende 2016 einen Vertrag über die Lieferung von 22 Turbinen vom Typ AW125/3000 für den Bau des Windparks „Mount Gellibrand“ in Australien unterzeichnet. Der Standort des 66-MW-Projekts liegt bei Colac, im Südosten des Landes im Bundesstaat Victoria. Kunde ist der spanische Projektentwickler Acciona Energia. Es ist das erste australische Projekt der Nordex-Gruppe seit dem Kauf des spanischen Windkraftanlagenherstellers Acciona Windpower im April 2016. Aktuell sind in Australien zwei Windparks mit insgesamt 238,5 MW mit der AW1500-Plattform in Betrieb. Das Projekt ist bereits in den gestern gemeldeten 3,3 Mrd. Euro Auftragseingang 2016 enthalten
Der Bundesstaat Victoria hat eines der besten Windkraftpotentiale Australiens. Am Standort „Mount Gellibrand“, ca. 100 Kilometer südwestlich von Melbourne, herrschen durchschnittliche Jahreswindgeschwindigkeiten von 7,2 m/s. Die Turbinen sind speziell für solche Standorte mit mittleren Windgeschwindigkeiten (IEC 2b) und geringen Turbulenzen ausgelegt. Nordex errichtet die AW125/3000-Anlagen auf 87,5-Meter-Stahlrohrtürmen, die in Victoria hergestellt werden. Die Inbetriebnahme des Parks ist für 2018 vorgesehen. Nordex wird die Anlagen im Anschluss daran für einen Zeitraum von zunächst zwei Jahren instand halten.
