Nordex-Gruppe expandierte 2017 in den USA auf 11%
Über 800 MW in vier US-Projekten ans Netz gebracht
© Nordex SEHamburg (iwr-pressedienst) - Die Nordex-Gruppe hat das Jahr 2017 mit einer starken Errichtungsleistung in den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika abgeschlossen. Im zurückliegenden Jahr brachte der Hersteller für seine Kunden in den USA rund 260 Turbinen mit einer Kapazität von insgesamt 806 Megawatt ans Netz. Das entspricht laut Veröffentlichung der American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) einem Marktanteil von gut 11 Prozent. Damit erreichte Nordex den vierten Platz unter den internationalen Herstellern.
In Summe lag das 2017 errichtete Volumen der US-Branche mit 7.017 Megawatt unter dem des Vorjahres (2016: 8.203 MW). Im vierten Quartal 2017 stieg die Errichtung mit 4.125 Megawatt aber wie gewohnt wiederum deutlich.
Zu den derzeit im Bau befindlichen US-Projekten zählen zwei große Parks von Nordex, die zusammen rund 520 Megawatt Leistung haben werden. Beide Projekte baut der Hersteller für Energieversorger mit Sitz in den USA. Im laufenden Jahr erwartet das Unternehmen seine Errichtungsleistung erneut zu erhöhen.
Die Nordex-Gruppe im Profil
Die Gruppe hat mehr als 21 GW Windenergieleistung in über 25 Märkten installiert und erzielte im Jahr 2016 einen Umsatz von EUR 3,4 Mrd. Das Unternehmen beschäftigt derzeit rund 5.000 Mitarbeiter. Zum Fertigungsverbund gehören Werke in Deutschland, Spanien, Brasilien, den USA und in Indien. Das Produktprogramm konzentriert sich auf Onshore-Turbinen der 1,5- bis 4,5-MW-Klasse, die auf die Marktanforderungen von Ländern mit begrenzten Ausbauflächen und Regionen mit begrenzten Netzkapazitäten ausgelegt sind.
