Nordex Group gewinnt Großprojekte in Südafrika
- Energieversorger bestellen 80 Turbinen mit 252 MW Leistung
© Nordex SEHamburg (iwr-pressedienst) - Die Nordex Group hat erneut Großaufträge aus Südafrika erhalten. Der Turbinenhersteller wird insgesamt 80 Turbinen der Baureihe AW125/3150 für die Projekte „Garob“ und „Copperton“ errichten.
Das Projekt „Garob“ umfasst 46 Turbinen, die der Stammkunde Enel Green Power bei Nordex bestellt hat. Das Projekt „Copperton“ umfasst 34 Anlagen für den Energieversorger Elewan.
Der Leistungsumfang beider Projekte umfasst die Lieferung und Errichtung sowie den mehrjährigen Service der Anlagen. Zudem wird der Hersteller die 100 Meter hohen Betontürme vor Ort herstellen und damit die lokale Wertschöpfung erhöhen.
„Südafrika ist ein wichtiger Markt für uns, weshalb wir uns freuen, auch diese beiden Projekte durchzuführen. Wir haben im laufenden Jahr Projekte mit insgesamt rund 400 MW gewonnen", sagt Patxi Landa, Vertriebsvorstand der Nordex SE.
Die Standorte der beiden Windparks liegen in der Provinz Northern Cape nahe der Stadt Copperton.

Das Unternehmen beschäftigt derzeit rund 5.000 Mitarbeiter. Zum Fertigungsverbund gehören Werke in Deutschland, Spanien, Brasilien, den USA und in Indien. Das Produktprogramm konzentriert sich auf Onshore-Turbinen der 1,5- bis 4,8-MW-Klasse, die auf die Marktanforderungen von Ländern mit begrenzten Ausbauflächen und Regionen mit begrenzten Netzkapazitäten ausgelegt sind.
