Nordex Group erhält Auftrag über 336 MW in Südafrika
© Nordex SEHamburg (iwr-pressedienst) - Die Nordex Group hat einen Auftrag über die Lieferung und Errichtung von 57 Turbinen des Typs N163/5.X der Delta4000-Serie in Südafrika erhalten. Der Auftrag umfasst auch einen Servicevertrag für die Wartung der Anlagen.
Der Auftrag ist für ein Cluster von drei Windparks mit jeweils 112,1 MW. Die Windparks befinden sich in der Provinz Ostkap, in einer Gegend mit sehr guten Windbedingungen.
Der Name des Kunden und der Name des Projekts werden auf Wunsch des Kunden nicht bekannt gegeben.
Die Installation der ersten Anlage ist für die zweite Jahreshälfte 2024 geplant, der Beginn der Stromeinspeisung ins Netz ist für die zweite Jahreshälfte 2025 vorgesehen.
Die Nordex Group wird die Betontürme der Turbinen vor Ort fertigen und damit bis zu 300 Arbeitsplätze in der Region schaffen. Das unterstützt die lokale Wirtschaft während der Bauphase.
Der Windpark-Cluster ist ein weiterer Schritt, um die Abhängigkeit Südafrikas von fossilen Brennstoffen zu verringern und den Anteil erneuerbarer Energien am Energiemix des Landes zu erhöhen. Mit Stand heute ist die Nordex Group mit mehr als 1,1 GW installierter Windkapazität mit einem Marktanteil von 32 % Marktführer in Südafrika.
Die Nordex Group im Profil
Die Gruppe hat in ihrer Unternehmensgeschichte bislang insgesamt rund 50 GW Windenergieleistung in über 40 Märkten installiert und erzielte im Jahr 2023 einen Konzernumsatz von rund EUR 6,5 Mrd. Das Unternehmen beschäftigt derzeit mehr als 10.000 Mitarbeiter. Zum Fertigungsverbund gehören Werke in Deutschland, Spanien, Brasilien, Indien, USA (aktuell nicht aktiv) und Mexiko. Das Produktprogramm konzentriert sich auf Onshore-Turbinen vor allem der Klassen 4 bis 6 MW+, die auf die Marktanforderungen von Ländern mit begrenzten Ausbauflächen und Regionen mit begrenzten Netzkapazitäten ausgelegt sind.
