The German wind farm developer renergys GmbH, located in Ladenburg, delivered successfully the wind farm project Serra dos Candeeiros to Enersis, the Portuguese market leader.

“This is a further milestone in our successful international development activities. The development of the project shows our long-term commitment to the Portuguese market and is prove of our capability to deliver high quality projects to the market leaders in our industry, says Markus Lesser, Managing Director of renergys GmbH.

After a four year development phase renergys GmbH handed over in March 2006 the now ready to be built park in to its operator.

Closer to the Altantic coast, with 500m over sea level and about 100km northern of Lisbon, the Serra dos Candeerois Project is in one of the best wind sites in Portugal.

The 11 wind turbines V90 with 3 MW capacity each from Vestas will generate approximately 150.000 MWh clean energy per year.

renergys is developing with its Portuguese subsidiary Atlantic Energy 250 MW in further 15 projects in his portfolio and is now in prospects about the outcome of the current public tender which is expected in June 2006.



Profile renergys

renergys holds an important role in the national and international wind power market both as project developer and as independent power producer.

At present, it owns and operates one of the largest German wind farms (Dahme 76, 5 MW).Besides Germany, Spain, France, Portugal and Brazil are counted among target markets.

At present a portfolio of approximately 450 MW is under development and shall be realised until 2007.
