Carpevigo completes another 1.3 MW solar power plant in Bavaria
Holzkirchen - As scheduled German PV system integrator Carpevigo AG, shortly before the turn of the year, has put into operation another solar power plant in Bavaria. The plant, which has a capacity of 1.33 MWp, will generate annually 1,416 MWh of electricity and will spare the environment 1,400 tons of CO2 per year.
The solar power plant Osterhofen was constructed on a 4.46 ha area at the edge of the community of Osterhofen in the county of Deggendorf. Both regarding construction management and the realization of the plant Carpevigo AG banked on Solea AG as a reliable partner. Carpevigo will take the plant into its own portfolio and Carpevigo Management GmbH will manage it during the scheduled period of operation of 20 years.
Funding partner of this project is Sparkasse Passau. A decisive factor for the involvement of the largest financial service provider of the Passau district was another solar power also plant built by Carpevigo AG using the same technical layout. This power plant which is located in the neighboring district of Deggendorf delivered revenues 10% above target since it was put into opertion in 2007.
Jens F. Neureuther, CEO of Carpevigo AG, sees as crucial success factors the uniform technical design of all their solar power plants and the exclusive deployment of quality products by well-known manufacturers. This includes a fixed orientation of the solar panels and a mounting system delivered by PV-EIWA GmbH, a subsidiary company of Solea AG. The thin-film modules were delivered by First Solar, while the inverters were provided by the global market leader SMA AG.
