Nordex liefert 20 MW nach Nordirland
- Entwickler wählt Starkwindturbine N80/2500 für erstes nordirisches Projekt
Hamburg (iwr-pressedienst) - Das erste gemeinsame Projekt von Nordex und dem britischen Entwickler DW Consultancy Ltd. ist besiegelt: DW Consultancy hat acht Turbinen der Nordex-Baureihe N80/2500 für den nordirischen Windpark "Screggagh" bestellt. Die Anlagen werden im September von der europäischen Produktionsstätte des Herstellers in Rostock auf die "Grüne Insel" geliefert.Die durchschnittliche Windgeschwindigkeit am Standort in der Grafschaft Tyrone beträgt 8,5 m/s. Durch den Einsatz der Stark-windturbine N80/2500 kann "Screggagh" jährlich rund 10.500 Haushalte mit sauberem Strom versorgen.
Der Windpark ist der erste aus dem Portfolio von DW Consultancy, der in Nordirland gebaut wird. Insgesamt verfügt DW Consultancy über die Baugenehmigung für 50 MW und hat weitere mehr als 100 MW in Planung. Folgeaufträge für Nordex, einen der Marktführer in Großbritannien, sind im Gespräch.

Insgesamt hat Nordex weltweit mehr als 4.000 Anlagen mit einer Kapazität von über 5.700 MW installiert. Mit einem Exportanteil von über 95 Prozent nimmt die Nordex AG auch in den internationalen Wachstumsregionen eine starke Position ein. Weltweit ist das Unternehmen in 18 Ländern mit Büros und Tochtergesellschaften vertreten. Derzeit beschäftigt die Gruppe weltweit mehr als 2.400 Mitarbeiter.
