WSB sales wind farm in Poland

- Local utility company takes over Lipniki wind farm

Dresden - The WSB corporate group has successfully concluded the sale of its Lipniki wind farm in Poland. The wind farm situated in the voivodship Opole was disposed of to the Polish utility company TAURON in September. The total amount of 15 REpower MM92 wind energy plants with an installed capacity of 30,75 MW and a height of 80 metres each had been erected this year and were officially put into operation in August 2011 together with the marshal and other municipal representatives of the voivodship Opole. Since then the wind park has been producing environmentally friendly energy and can supply around 41,000 households with an anticipated energy yield of approximately 65 million kWh per year. After the sale the WSB corporate group will remain locally present and will realize the technical operational management via its Polish subsidiary WSB Service Sp. z o.o. The wind farm Lipniki is WSB’s first successfully processed project in Poland after the market entry in 2008.
