WINDFORCE 2012 is off to a good start

Germany’s first offshore wind energy trade fair in Bremen registers strong interest

Bremen - Germany’s first trade fair for the offshore wind industry, WINDFORCE, will be held in Bremen late in June 2012. The WINDFORCE event will also feature Wind Energy Agency WAB’s annual offshore conference, now in its eighth year. It is evident barely five months before the dual programme begins that the plan to move the professional conference to Bremen and combine it with the industry trade show is very promising. More than 50 exhibitors have already booked stands at WINDFORCE.

Among the first exhibitors at Germany’s first offshore wind energy trade fair are industry leaders such as WeserWind Offshore Construction Georgsmarienhütte, BLG Logistics Group, A2Sea Deutschland, RWE Innogy, HOCHTIEF Solutions, AMBAU, Abeking & Rasmussen, AREVA Wind and wpd offshore solutions.

\"The exhibitors’ response confirms that the need for an offshore wind energy trade fair in Germany is very real. The WINDFORCE event will meet this need,\" said Jens Eckhoff, managing director of the Offshore Wind Messe- und Veranstaltungs GmbH, which is organising the four-day trade show. Ronny Meyer, managing director of WAB, added: \"Within just eight years, the conference has become the place for the offshore industry to meet. The new trade fair in 2012 will bring concentrated and all-round offshore wind expertise to the Bremen fairgrounds – a great development.\"

WINDFORCE 2012
WINDFORCE 2012 will be held for the first time in Bremen from 26 to 29 June 2012. The event is both a continuation of Germany’s most important offshore wind conference, WINDFORCE, held this year from 26 to 28 June 2012, and of Germany’s first offshore wind energy trade fair, to be held from 26 – 29 June 2012. It is being organised jointly by the Wind Energy Agency WAB and the Offshore Wind Messe- und Veranstaltungs GmbH.
