Nordex sichert sich 243-MW-Auftrag für US-Windpark
- Hersteller liefert 81 Anlagen vom Typ AW125/3000 nach Texas
Hamburg (iwr-pressedienst) - Die Nordex-Gruppe hat einen 243-MW-Auftrag in den USA gewonnen. Für einen Windpark in Texas wird der Hersteller 81 Turbinen vom Typ AW125/3000 liefern.
Die Anlagen sind für IEC-2-Standorte ausgelegt, also für Regionen mit mittleren Windgeschwindigkeiten. Alle Turbinen sind mit einem 125-Meter-Rotor ausgestattet und werden auf 87,5 Meter hohen Stahlrohrtürmen errichtet. Die Errichtung startet Anfang 2017.
Dieser neueste Auftrag setzt das starke Wachstum der AW3000-Plattform in Texas fort. Zuvor wurden AW3000-Anlagen in diesem Bundesstaat etwa für das 300-MW-Projekt „Green Pastures“ von Capital Dynamics bestellt, für den 165-MW-Park „Cameron“ von IKEA und für „San Roman“, einen Windpark von Acciona mit 93 MW.
Die USA zählen zu den wichtigsten Windmärkten der Welt. Durch die Verlängerung des Production Tax Credit Ende 2015 haben sich die Aussichten für Windenergie am US-Markt nochmals verbessert. Marktbeobachter rechnen in diesem Rahmen mit einem Anstieg des Volumens auf über 10 GW pro Jahr.
Die Nordex-Gruppe profitiert in den USA in hohem Maße aus dem Zusammenschluss mit Acciona Windpower, da sie durch das erweiterte Produktangebot den Bedarf an Windturbinen für unterschiedliche Windregime und Regionen im Land abdeckt. US-Kunden zeigen ein besonderes Interesse an der AW3000-Plattform und den Turbinen der Generation Delta. Bis heute hat die Nordex-Gruppe Anlagen mit einer Kapazität von insgesamt 2.380 MW in den USA errichtet.

Die Gruppe hat mehr als 18 GW Windenergieleistung in über 25 Märkten installiert. Nordex und Acciona Windpower erzielten im Jahr 2015 einen kombinierten Umsatz von EUR 3,4 Mrd. Das Unternehmen beschäftigt derzeit rund 5.000 Mitarbeiter. Zum Fertigungsverbund gehören Werke in Deutschland, Spanien, Brasilien, den USA und in Kürze auch in Indien. Das Produktprogramm konzentriert sich auf Onshore-Turbinen der 1,5- bis 3-MW-Klasse, die auf Marktanforderungen in entwickelten Märkten und Schwellenländern spezifiziert sind.
