Nordex Group erhält neuen Auftrag von SSE für knapp 60 MW in Irland
© Nordex SEHamburg (iwr-pressedienst) - Die Nordex Group hat einen neuen Auftrag aus Irland zur Lieferung und Installation von zwölf Turbinen des Typs N133/4.8 für den Windpark Drumnahough in Donegal erhalten. Insgesamt wird das Projekt der gemeinsamen Partner SSE und FuturEnergy Ireland eine installierte Leistung von fast 60 MW aufweisen. Nordex wird zudem durch einen langfristigen Premium-Service-Vertrag einen zuverlässigen Betrieb der Turbinen sicherstellen.
Die Lieferung und Errichtung der Turbinen sind 2027 geplant. Der Hafen von Killybegs in Donegal wird als zentraler Einfuhrpunkt für die Komponenten fungieren und trägt somit maßgeblich zur Optimierung der logistischen Abläufe bei. Das Projekt unterstützt Irlands Ziel, erneuerbare Energien weiter auszubauen und die Windkraft in der Region voranzubringen.
Der Windpark Drumnahough stellt einen weiteren bedeutenden Erfolg in der laufenden Zusammenarbeit zwischen der Nordex Group und SSE Renewables dar. Im Jahr 2022 hatte SSE Renewables 29 Turbinen bei der Nordex Group für ihren irischen 101-MW-Windpark Yellow River in Offaly bestellt, der nun vollständig in Betrieb ist. Letzte Woche gaben beide Unternehmen zudem einen neuen Auftrag für zwei Onshore-Windprojekte mit insgesamt 42 MW in Spanien bekannt.
„Wir freuen uns, den Auftrag zur Lieferung und Errichtung der Turbinen für den Windpark Drumnahough erhalten zu haben – ein weiterer wichtiger Meilenstein auf Irlands Weg der Nutzung erneuerbarer Energien“, sagt Jason Welch, Geschäftsführer UK & Irland bei der Nordex Group. „Die N133 eignet sich für Standorte mit hohen Windgeschwindigkeiten. Mit unserem langfristigen Servicevertrag beweisen wir bei Nordex, dass wir ein zuverlässiger Partner im irischen Onshore-Sektor sind.“

Das Produktprogramm konzentriert sich auf Onshore-Turbinen vor allem der Klassen 4 bis 7 MW+, die auf die Marktanforderungen von Ländern mit begrenzten Ausbauflächen und Regionen mit begrenzten Netzkapazitäten ausgelegt sind.
