Conergy pools worldwide B2B distribution - Pan-European solar distribution of AET is merged with the global distribution of Conergy

Hamburg, 27 November 2006 - From the start of 2007, trade partners and installers at Conergy will be served directly via the group brand. As such, they will benefit from the pooled customer service and marketing of the previously independently operating distribution teams of AET and Conergy.

The experience gained from in excess of 50,000 solar projects on five continents gives the Conergy Group its decisive lead in terms of know-how when it comes to providing each and every customer worldwide with the ideal solar system technology for their particular region. This closer intermeshing of product development and distribution will produce synergies, which will be reflected directly in an extended performance and service package for all customers of Conergy. The globally structured distribution of Conergy relies on experience gained from 10 years of contact with end customers in 22 countries and is unique world-wide with its range of services. Products of the highest quality, as well as advice, just-in-time delivery to construction sites, and after-sales service will be provided directly by the market leader, Conergy.

All the customer-oriented contacts will be retained

The customer-oriented distribution sites of AET in Germany, France, Spain, Greece, Italy and Switzerland remain unchanged and from 2007, as branch offices of Conergy, will provide the extended services through the pooled distribution. "Our customers can rest assured that they will continue to receive the same reliable service, advice and deliveries they are accustomed to receiving from their usual contacts", explains Friedemann Holzwarth, Managing Director of AET, who in future will be managing the merged distribution divisions of Conergy in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Whilst AET serves customers within Europe, Conergy's distribution is already represented with branch offices in the U.S., Central and South America, Asia and Australia, close to customers in those solar markets which offer the greatest potential.

The company AET Alternative-Energie-Technik GmbH was founded in Sulzbach in 1991 by Albert Edelmann, when he was 21 years old. He is regarded as one of the pioneers of the solar industry and today, as a Board Member of Conergy, he is responsible for world-wide distribution. AET was taken over by Conergy in 1999.

By 2000, AET expanded its distribution area to include the southern European region, by taking over the Spanish company Albasolar. Being quick to recognise attractive promotional conditions in the offing and the growth in demand resulting from this, AET established a market-leading position for itself at an early stage in France, Italy, Greece and Cyprus around the European Mediterranean and further extended its role as Europe's leading solar commercial enterprise.

Pooled distribution creates additional demand potential
