49 wind-energy plants with a nominal output of 98 MW set up

Cuxhaven, January 10, 2007 – The wind-farm projecter Plambeck Neue Energien AG set up 49 wind-energy plants with a nominal output of 98 MW in Germany last year and was also involved in their construction. "In this way, we have made a considerable contribution to the further extension of wind energy in Germany", explains Member of the Board, Martin Billhardt. All told, around 840 wind-energy plants with a total nominal output of approximately 1,660 MW were set up in Germany.

The plants from Plambeck Neue Energien AG were set up in wind-farms, amongst others in the Federal States of Lower Saxony, Brandenburg, North Rhine-Westphalia and Sachsen-Anhalt. The rights to two of these wind-farm projects had already been sold beforehand. Plambeck Neue Energien AG was however active as support in the realisation of these projects for the buyers according to the agreements made.

Alongside the set-up of the wind-energy plants, securing and development of further wind-farm locations had high priority in 2006. For the future, Plambeck Neue Energien AG is planning not only continued set-up of wind-farms on land, but also offshore at high sea. Approvals have already been received for two large offshore wind-farm projects in the North Sea.
