Nordex UK erhält Auftrag für 52,5-MW-Windpark - Errichtung der 21 N90/2500-Anlagen für Sommer 2012 geplant
Hamburg (iwr-pressedienst) - Nordex UK hat einen Lieferauftrag für 21 Windenergieanlagen des Typs N90/2500 erhalten. Der Kunde ist ein Joint-Venture-Unternehmen, das mehrheitlich Statkraft gehört, dem größten Erzeuger grünen Stroms in Europa. Die 21 Turbinen sollen ab August 2012 in dem schottischen Windpark "Baillie" errichtet werden. Statkraft hat mit Nordex auch einen Premiumservice für fünf Jahre vereinbart.
Der Windpark "Baillie" entsteht nahe der schottischen Nordküste. Der Wind weht hier mit mehr als 9 m/s und erfordert robuste Maschinen, die gemäß IEC 1a für Starkwindstandorte zertifiziert sind. Nach einer Anhebung der Windklasseneignung in der Multimegawatt-Produktfamilie bietet Nordex die N90/2500 jetzt für diese Standorte an. "Die N90/2500 ist die kosteneffizienteste Turbine in rauem Klima. In Großbritannien und Irland gibt es viele Ausschreibungen für Projekte in Starkwindregionen. Aus diesem Grund ist das IEC-1a-Zertifikat der N90/2500 eine große Marktchance für uns", so Bryan Grinham, Geschäftsführer von Nordex UK.
Die Brüder Steven und Thomas Pottinger projektierten den Windpark "Baillie". Sie bleiben Partner von Statkraft und entwickeln bereits weitere Windprojekte in der Region. Um der Bauhöhenbeschränkung von 110 Metern zu entsprechen, errichtet Nordex die 21 Anlagen auf 65-Meter-Türmen. Sie sollen pro Jahr einen Ertrag von rund 180 Gigawattstunden liefern. Das entspricht dem Bedarf von rund 39.000 britischen Haushalten.

Bei den Verhandlungen haben wir einmal mehr gezeigt, dass wir flexibel auf die komplexen Anforderungen eines großen Energieversorgers eingehen können. Dies ist eine gute Basis für weitere gemeinsame Projekte", so Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, Vertriebsvorstand der Nordex SE.
