Nordex introducing new service package: \"Premium light\"

Hamburg - In addition to the \"Basic\", \"Extended\" and \"Premium\" service contracts, Nordex’ after sales customers are now able to select the \"Premium Light\" package for the maintenance of their existing wind turbines. The package entails the elements of the proven \"Premium\" full-service contract but permits customers to exclude the large turbine components from the contract. In this way, operators are able to cover their risk in a more favorable and individual manner, in line with their specific requirements.

\"’Premium Light’ is the result of a joint development with our customers who sought a flexible solution which is more comprehensive than our \"Extended\" contract but more adaptable than the \"Premium\" one,\" explains Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, the responsible member of Nordex’s Management Board. \"We have already signed preliminary \"Premium Light\" contracts and the positive feedback in various European countries confirms the appeal of this new standard service offering.\"

\"Premium Light\" is positioned between the \"Extended\" and \"Premium\" contracts in terms of future-proofing investments. Unlike the conventional \"Premium\" contract, it does not include repairs, deliveries of spare parts or the replacement of for example gearboxes, generators, rotor blades or main converter. \"Premium Light\" is particularly targeted at customers who wish to minimise the administrative costs arising in connection with standard repair jobs and are able to assess the condition of the main components of their turbines.

For now the new contract is applicable only in after sales for existing wind parks. An extension of the offering also for new wind farm projects is currently under investigation and will be possible based on positive market feedback. With the introduction of \"Premium Light\", Nordex has broadened its standard service offerings and extended the existing range of products.
