SSC Montage GmbH to become SSC Wind GmbH

Wildeshausen, Germany - With this new flag SSC presented itself for the first time to a large professional public on the HUSUM WindEnergy 2012 international trade fair. \"It was simply time for some fresh wind. The change from SSC Montage to SSC Wind is a clear reflection of the extension in the positioning of our company\", explains Managing Director Hinrich Eden talking about this important step in the company’s history.

\"More than 10 years ago, SSC started off as a provider of national assembly services for the wind energy sector. In the beginning they were coordinated from Bremen and since 2004 from the county Oldenburg\", we are told by Hinrich Eden. \"From that time on we have been constantly growing with each new mission.\" Over the years SSC has developed from a small-sized business to a solid medium-sized enterprise with a total of 180 employees. \"We owe our growth to the indefatigable commitment of every single employee\", says Mister Eden. Meanwhile, also the company headquarters were relocated. Today, in the placid little town of Wildeshausen near Bremen, 25 employees working in a modern office environment are taking care of the coordination, execution and monitoring of international projects both onshore and offshore.

The range of services has significantly expanded in the last two years. \"Among wind power plants manufacturers we are known as a reliable provider for the construction, commissioning and maintenance of wind power plants\", says Mister Eden. SSC is providing engineering services to reputable energy supply companies such as RWE or Vattenfall. Through the visual adjustment of the previous brand identity, the new name and the slogan \"onshore.offshore.engineering\" SSC is expressing the historic development of its contents. \"Today we provide extended services related to the construction of wind power plants as well as supplementary engineering services\", says Managing Director Anne Higgen. \"Our established engineering group is the leader of the sector in evaluating concepts in the field of identification marking for offshore wind farms and it plans and supplies the electro-technical instrumentation, for instance for offshore met masts\", Ms Higgen goes on explaining.

\"Due to our synergy network consisting of our joint ventures SSC EGE Wind (Turkey), WESEE (Romania) and SSC Baltic Wind (Poland), we are able to operate on the European market with particular efficiency. Our customers very much appreciate this kind of combined force\", says Managing Director René Psarski. \"In this process, quality, safety at work and cost efficiency are combined with each other very effectively\", Mister Psarski explains. From the construction and maintenance of wind power plants through the measurement and control technology and electrical engineering up to the complete construction site and logistics management – SSC will always be one step ahead of the wind.

\"In order to ensure a high standard of quality we use a documentation management system specially developed for the sector which records all steps and procedures in a clearly traceable way for our customers\", emphasises Mister Eden. \"Right from the start the company has always attached great importance to transparency.\"

A central \"Health & Safety Department\" as well as a participation in the qualifying company \"Edwin Academy\" are further elements through which SSC Wind is securing its future strong position in the wind power market even today.
