Nordex liefert erste N117-Turbinen nach Irland
- Element Power baut 36-MW-Windpark mit Nordex
Hamburg (iwr-pressedienst) - Die Nordex-Gruppe hat einen weiteren wichtigen Erfolg in Irland erzielt. Ihr Neukunde, der international tätige Projektentwickler Element Power, hat sich beim Bau des Windparks "Monaincha" für 15 Anlagen vom Typ N117/2400 entschieden. Zudem haben Element Power und der Eigentümer des Windkraftwerks, der Finanzinvestor BlackRock, einen Premium Servicevertrag mit einer Laufzeit von zehn Jahren unterzeichnet. "Das ist nicht nur der Auftakt einer hoffentlich erfolgreichen Zusammenarbeit mit Element Power, sondern knüpft auch an unseren Vertriebserfolg an, den wir mit dieser Anlage in Europa erleben", so Nordex-Vorstand Lars Bondo Krogsgaard.Die N117/2400 zählt zu den derzeit effizientesten Turbinen für schwächere Windstandorte, hier kommt die Anlage durch ihren großen Rotordurchmesser von 117 Meter auf einen überdurchschnittlich hohen Kapazitätsfaktor von über 35 Prozent. Das gilt auch für den Windpark "Monaincha" in der Grafschaft Tipperary, wo der Wind im Mittel mit 7 Meter pro Sekunde weht. So ist das Projekt in der Lage den Stromverbrauch von 30.000 irischen Haushalten zu decken.
Die Errichtung des Park im Flachland nahe der Stadt Roscrea soll im April 2013 starten. Krogsgaard: "Mit den derzeit im Aufbau befindlichen Projekten wird Nordex in Kürze in Irland auf eine Kapazität von 427 MW kommen. Das ist eine stolze Bilanz und unterstreicht, dass unsere Entscheidung richtig war, im Jahr 2010 eine Tochtergesellschaft in Irland zu etablieren".
Mike O´Neill, der Vorsitzender von Element Power, freut sich über die Zusammenarbeit: "Unsere Entscheidung für Nordex basiert auf dem Vertrauen, dass wir in ihre Technologie und Leistungskraft setzen. Das Gleiche hat sich auch in der erfolgreichen Finanzierung des Projekts gespiegelt".
