Nordex gewinnt 111-MW-Projekt in Südafrika
Hamburg (iwr-pressedienst) - Die Nordex SE baut ihre Marktposition in Südafrika aus: Das Unternehmen hat jetzt einen weiteren fest finanzierten Auftrag mit einem Gesamtvolumen von 111 MW gewonnen. Der schlüsselfertige Windpark mit 37 N117/3000-Turbinen entsteht im Süden des Landes und ist der erste in Südafrika, bei dem Turbinen der Generation Delta zum Zuge kommen.
Dank der Windgeschwindigkeiten von im Schnitt rund 8 m/s vor Ort, können die Anlagen nach Fertigstellung 424 GWh sauberen Strom produzieren. Der Windpark wird dabei einen überdurchschnittlichen Kapazitätsfaktor von mehr als 43% erzielen.
„Die Gründung einer Landesgesellschaft im Jahr 2012 war ein wichtiger strategischer Schritt, um uns in dem aufstrebenden südafrikanischen Markt zu positionieren. Auf diese Weise können wir die Projekte im Land schneller und kompetenter betreuen“, so Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, Vorstandsmitglied der Nordex SE.
Die Nordex-Tochter Nordex Energy South Africa (Pty) Ltd. hat im Zuge der ersten Ausschreibungsrunden das 100-MW-Projekt „Dorper“, das 80-MW-Projekt „Kouga“ sowie das 134,4-MW-Projekt „Amakhala“ gewonnen. Zusammen mit dem heute angekündigten Projekt konnte sich Nordex nun insgesamt 425,4 MW sichern und kommt auf einen Marktanteil von rund 20% der bereits vergebenen 1.983 MW aus den drei Auktionen.
Neben dem Vertrieb, lokalen Projektmanagement und Service der Turbinen unterstützt die Nordex Energy South Africa (Pty) Ltd. zudem über den „Nordex Education Trust“ Menschen, die aus kulturell-historischen oder gesundheitlichen Gründen benachteiligt sind. Ihnen wird der Zugang zu Aus-und Weiterbildungsmöglichkeiten erleichtert und damit ihre Integration gefördert.
