Nordex Irland: 27,5 MW für die grüne Insel
- Brookfield Renewable bestellt elf N90/2500
Hamburg (iwr-pressedienst) - Die Nordex-Gruppe liefert elf N90/2500 für Brookfield Renewable nach Irland. Das Projekt „Slievecallan East“ liegt an der Westküste der Republik und geht mit einer Nennleistung von 27,5 MW Ende nächsten Jahres in Betrieb.
Nordex liefert die Starkwindanlagen mit 80 Meter hohen Stahlrohrtürmen und ist zudem für die Fundamentarbeiten zuständig. Darüber hinaus schließt der Auftrag einen Premium-Servicevertrag mit einer Laufzeit von 15 Jahren ein. Der Standort des Projekts liegt in der Grafschaft Clare und profitiert vom starken Atlantikwind an der irischen Westküste. Der Windpark ist nach dem nahegelegenen Berg Slievecallan benannt.
Brookfield Renewable ist eines der größten börsennotierten Unternehmen, das sich ausschließlich auf erneuerbare Energien konzentriert. In seinem Portfolio befinden sich Wind- und Wasserkraftprojekte in Europa, Nord- und Lateinamerika mit zusammen mehr als 10.000 MW Kapazität. In Irland betreibt Brookfield bereits Nordex-Turbinen mit einer Leistung von mehr als 200 MW.
George Martin, General Manager von Brookfield Renewable Operation in Irland, sagt: „Brookfield Renewable ist froh, zusammen mit Nordex das Projekt Slievecallan zu realisieren. Es ist ein wichtiges Projekt für Brookfield und markiert die Fortsetzung unserer Investitionen in Irland.“
Die Nordex-Gruppe hat in der irischen Republik Windturbinen mit einer Kapazität von mehr als 600 MW verkauft.

Die Gruppe hat rund 20 GW Windenergieleistung in über 25 Märkten installiert. Nordex und Acciona Windpower erzielten im Jahr 2015 einen kombinierten Umsatz von EUR 3,4 Mrd. Das Unternehmen beschäftigt derzeit mehr als 5.000 Mitarbeiter. Zum Fertigungsverbund gehören Werke in Deutschland, Spanien, Brasilien, den USA und in Kürze auch in Indien. Das Produktprogramm konzentriert sich auf Onshore-Turbinen der 1,5- bis 3,6-MW-Klasse, die auf Marktanforderungen in entwickelten Märkten und Schwellenländern spezifiziert sind.
