Nordex-Gruppe übernimmt SSP Technology A/S
• Hersteller will Kompetenz bei Entwicklung noch effizienterer Rotoren weiter ausbauen
• Moderne Rotorblätter machen Windstrom preiswerter
Hamburg (iwr-pressedienst) - Die Nordex-Gruppe übernimmt die SSP Technology A/S, einen Entwickler und Hersteller von Rotorblattformen, der über zahlreiche Patente für Fertigungsprozesse dieser Komponente verfügt. Der Erwerb erfolgt in Form eines Betriebsübergangs von Gebrauchsmustern, von rund 70 Mitarbeitern und der rund 10.000 Quadratmeter großen Werkshallen in Kirkeby (Dänemark).
Mit der Transaktion will Nordex seine technologische Position bei der Entwicklung immer größerer und effizienterer Turbinen weiter ausbauen. Über die tiefere Integration des Formen- und Prototypenbaus kann Nordex in Zukunft flexibler auf die sich schnell ändernden Marktbedingungen reagieren. Heute produziert das Unternehmen in seinen Werken in Deutschland und in Spanien Rotorblätter aus der eigenen Entwicklung. Zudem kooperiert der Konzern bei der Herstellung und im Formenbau mit externen Partnern.
„Unsere Zusammenarbeit mit SSP Technology reicht bis ins Jahr 2003 zurück und war immer sehr erfolgreich sowie konstruktiv. Ich bin überzeugt, dass wir unsere Innovationskraft mit der Integration der Blattexperten von SSP entscheidend verstärken werden. Das Rotorblatt ist ein Schlüssel, die Gestehungskosten von Strom aus Windenergie zu senken“, so Jose Luis Blanco, COO der Nordex SE.
SSP Technology A/S wurde im Jahr 2001 gegründet und hat seitdem Formen und Prototypen für Rotorblätter der Anlagenklassen 1,5 bis 8,0 MW entwickelt und gefertigt. Das bisher größte Rotorblatt von SSP hatte eine Länge von fast 90 Metern.
