NOTUS energy: New branch in Nantes has 250 megawatts of wind and solar plants in planning

The new NOTUS energy branch in Nantes is growing: soon, ten employees will be serving the west of France from here. Currently, 150 MW of wind energy and 100 MW of photovoltaics are being developed here. Get to know us - at the EnviroPro Grand Ouest in Angers.

Paris (renewablepress) - "The west of France offers excellent conditions for the development of wind and solar parks," says Heinrich Lieser, President of NOTUS energy in Paris, about the successes of the NOTUS energy branch in Nantes. A team of wind and solar energy experts has been working there since September 2021 and is expected to grow to ten employees this year. The colleagues there look after the whole of western France, especially Brittany, Normandy, Pays de la Loire and Centre Val de Loire.


Two renewable energy plants already realised

The NOTUS energy team has already commissioned a 22.5 megawatt (MW) wind farm near Compiègne and a 15.6 MW solar farm with citizen participation near Baraize. Another 150 MW of wind power capacity and solar parks with around 100 MW are in the pipeline.

The NOTUS energy team is now presenting itself for the first time at EnviroPro Grand Ouest, which will take place in Angers on 14, 15 and 16 June 2022. "This is an excellent opportunity for us to get in touch with landowners and municipalities from the region and also to discuss possible new joint projects," says Lieser.

NOTUS energy has been initiating, planning, building and operating wind and photovoltaic plants since 2001 and, as an energy producer, holds its own portfolio of over 260 megawatts. In France, the company has a development pipeline of around 700 megawatts.
