Users simply ask questions in natural language directly within the platform to receive relevant operational information about their renewable energy portfolios – in real time, without time-consuming searches or navigation. Deutsche WindGuard will showcase wonBOT on stand A1|221 at WindEnergy Hamburg from 22 to 25 September.

“With wonBOT, we are introducing an intelligent conversational interface to WONDER,” says Falko Feßer, Managing Director of Deutsche WindGuard Systems. “We bring together the capabilities of artificial intelligence and the practical requirements of professional technical management, integrating AI seamlessly into existing structures.”

wonBOT answers specific questions about portfolios, assets and master data. Users can also retrieve specific information from asset history records, including details of maintenance, actions taken and past events. The assistant also handles complex queries involving filters and date ranges. For example, it can identify which maintenance tasks were performed on a particular wind turbine during a specified period. wonBOT presents the results clearly and in context.

The solution is designed around the needs of technical managers, operators and asset managers. The software developers in Berlin benefit directly from the practical experience of Deutsche WindGuard’s technical management team in Varel, Germany. Feedback from everyday use helps to continually enhance WONDER and wonBOT.

“For my team, wonBOT significantly reduces our day-to-day workload and frees up valuable time,” explains Nicolas Kluth, Head of Technical Management at Deutsche WindGuard. “Previously, we often had to gather information from different parts of the system before we could begin our technical assessment. wonBOT now provides the relevant information immediately and tailored to our question. This reduces the effort involved in finding information, saves considerable time and allows us to start our technical work sooner.”

wonBOT processes data securely within the customer’s own infrastructure and does not transfer any information to external systems. The assistant is directly integrated with WONDER’s access controls and tenant structure. This ensures that users receive only information they are authorised to access.

With wonBOT, Deutsche WindGuard Systems continues to drive forward the development of WONDER. The modular wind farm management system helps technical managers, operators and asset managers manage their portfolios with greater transparency and make informed decisions about the long-term operation.
