05.02.2020 | Hamburg - Today, REpower Systems AG (WKN 617703) and Energiekontor AG have signed an agreement about the installation of 18 offshore wind energy turbines of the REpower 5M type – each with a rated power of five megawatts (MW) – for the German "Nordergründe" offshore wind farm. The total rated power will hence be 90 MW. The offshore wind farm project is to be realised within the 12 sea mile zone at the river mouth of the Weser, north of Wilhelmshaven.
Nordergründe will thus be one of the first offshore projects to be realised in Germany and furthermore, the first bank-financed offshore project with 5 MW turbines in German waters.
