PowerWind installs 50th wind turbine

Hamburg - PowerWind GmbH has set another milestone with the erection of its 50th wind turbine. The installation of the 900 kW machine of the type PowerWind 56 was completed today in Garbas, Poland.

The first turbine of the German manufacturer went on line in August 2007. PowerWind turbines today produce reliable energy yields in Germany, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania and the USA.

\"We are pleased to have reached this important milestone. As a young manufacturer, we have been able to significantly increase the number of our installations year after year\", says Managing Director Stefan Heczko. \"We already have binding orders for more than 90 turbines and are optimistic that we will be able to announce the erection of the 100th turbine in summer 2012.\"

The 900 kW PowerWind 56 wind turbine has been in series production since January 2008 at the state-of-the-art factory in Bremerhaven.
