Kenersys: Further projects with Juwi in Rhineland-Palatinate to be realised this year
Münster/Germany - The wind turbine manufacturer Kenersys Europe (Muenster, Germany) closed another contract with the project developer Juwi covering the supply of 5 wind turbines. The order contains a project volume of 12,5 MW of the Kenersys K100 with a 2,5 MW rated power and a 100m rotor diameter. The turbine with a hub height of 135 meters is supposed to be erected at Schornsheim and Winterborn in Rhineland-Palatinate in the South Western part of Germany this year. The foundation works have already started.
The first turbines within the scope of the cooperation between Juwi and Kenersys were realized in the same region this spring on the same tower configuration. Juwi-Wind CEOs Marie-Luise Pörtner and Frank Finzel affirm: \"Kenersys is an important product partner for our projects at low and medium wind speed sites. Kenersys turbines in combination with the ATS-tower are a proper economical solution.\"
The Juwi-Windpark \"Schornsheim\" contains four turbines and is going to be built close to the company’s headquarters in Woerrstadt. Low and medium wind speed sites can be operated efficiently with Kenersys multi-megawatt turbines K100 with the Hybridtower from tower manufacturer ATS, which is a patented solution from standard segments of concrete in combination with classic steel tube towers. The fifth turbine of the project contract will be built as a single turbine with 135m hub height in the same region.
\"This provides a good solution for sites in mid- and south-Germany such as Rhineland-Palatinate, Baden-Württemberg, and Bavaria where the use of wind energy is supposed to be expanded, but where low wind speeds dominate at most sites\", states Andreas von Bobart, CEO of Kenersys Europe.
The project contract moreover covers the \"Tailormade Operation & Maintenance\" Service, which far exceeds the standards in the wind energy sector, according to Kenersys. During the term of guarantee, Kenersys secures full service maintenance and availabilities which are executed, however, by the Juwi Management GmbH as an external contractor.
After the expiry of the term of guarantee the Juwi Management GmbH takes over the service for the turbines entirely. \"This concept secures Juwi full control over their turbines. We train the Juwi service technicians during intensive theory and practice sessions in our factory in Wismar and directly at our turbines. With the extended access to our SCADA-System CASCADA Juwi can completely control their turbine fleet right from the start and is able to take over the turbine control management\", concludes von Bobart.
