Changement climatique: une augmentation des investissements mondiaux dans les énergies renouvelables s'impose
Münster, Allemagne - Le secrétaire général des Nations Unies Ban Ki-moon a de nouveau lancé l'alerte à Münster au sujet des conséquences du changement climatique et revendiqué la nécessité de mesures internationales. L'Institut IWR pour le secteur des énergies renouvelables à Münster a communiqué qu'une nette augmentation des investissements dans les énergies renouvelables serait en mesure de réduire l'émission de gaz à effet de serre. Environ 140 milliards (Mds) d'euros ont été investis en 2010 au niveau mondial dans de nouvelles installations régénératives (pour 125 mds d'euros en 2009). Selon les calculs de l'IWR, au moins 500 mds d'euros par an seraient indispensables pour freiner l'augmentation des émissions de CO2 de manière significative.
"Le rythme actuel de l'expansion mondiale dans les énergies renouvelables ne suffit pas encore pour compenser l'augmentation globale des émissions de CO2", affirmait le directeur de l'IWR Norbert Allnoch. L'IWR propose de développer le protocole de Kyoto pour la protection du climat. Allnoch : "La combinaison d'une réduction des émissions de CO2 avec des investissements dans les techniques d'énergie renouvelable comme prévue dans le plan CERINA pourrait représenter la fin de l'impasse pour la politique climatique."
Après une réduction des émissions de dioxyde de carbone mondiales en 2009, ces dernières ont de nouveau drastiquement augmenté en 2010 pour atteindre un nouveau record de plus de 33 mds de tonnes. La manière d'accélérer l'expansion des énergies renouvelables dans le monde est également un sujet essentiel que les experts en économie discuteront à l'occasion de la journée économique sur les énergies renouvelables 2011 à Münster.
