First project with Exelon, top-ranked USA utility customer

* 81.6 MW project to be installed in late summer
* largest contract to date for the N117/2400
* first Nordex-developed American project

Hamburg - Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has been awarded by Exelon a contract for the delivery and installation of the \"Beebe\" wind farm in Gratiot County, Michigan. The 81.6-MW project comprises 34 multi-megawatt turbines from the new Nordex N117/2400 series. This model is the latest addition to the Gamma family and has been specifically designed to maximise output in light wind conditions. The \"Beebe\" wind farm will be supplying more than 27,000 homes with clean electricity.

\"Exelon is one of the top diversified energy companies in the US market, which is why this contract is an important success for us. In addition, it is particularly satisfying to share our excitement about the N117/2400 with a company able to take advantage of its increased yields and capabilities,\" says Ralf Sigrist, President and CEO of Nordex USA.

Exelon will be commencing the preparatory construction work at the site in May, with the turbines to be supplied from the Nordex US production facility in late summer 2012.

The \"Beebe\" wind farm is the first project that Nordex USA has developed, after entering a joint venture last year with the local developer who initiated the project.

Information for editors / investors:
The \"Beebe\" project had already been recorded as order intake in 2011 as the binding contract was signed at the end of December. The conditions on which the announcement of the contract was contingent have since been satisfied.
