Nordex erhält ersten Abruf aus 250-MW-Rahmen-vertrag aus Pakistan
- Stammkunde Fauji Foundation und Co-Investoren beauftragen Nordex mit dem Bau von 50 MW-Windpark
Hamburg (iwr-pressedienst) - Nach der Fertigstellung seines ersten Windparks in Pakistan hat Nordex jetzt einen fest finanzierten Folgeauftrag aus dem Land erhalten. Hierbei handelt es sich um das Projekt "FWEL II", das in der Provinz Sindh entsteht, etwa 80 Kilometer entfernt von Karachi. Der 50-Megawatt-Park (MW) wird 20 Großturbinen vom Typ N100/2500 umfassen, die als "Hot-Climate"-Version speziell für vergleichbare Märkte mit sehr heißen Umweltbedingungen entwickelt worden ist.
Den Windpark "FWEL II" wird Nordex mit seinem lokalen Partner Descon Engineering, Karachi, schlüsselfertig errichten. Durch den Bau des ersten Pilotprojekts im Jahr 2012 und die Gründung einer Landesgesellschaft in Islamabad, hat Nordex umfangreiche Erfahrungen gesammelt, Kraftwerksprojekte in Pakistan zu realisieren. Mit dem Windpark "FWEL II" untermauert das Unternehmen jetzt die Marktführerschaft in Pakistan. Im Jahr 2014 soll das Windfeld in Betrieb gehen, für weitere mindestens fünf Jahre sind Nordex und Descon dann über einen Premium-Vertrag für den Service der Anlagen zuständig.
Mehrheitseigentümer des Projekts ist die Fauji Foundation (55%), für die Nordex bereits im letzten Jahr den 50-MW-Park "Jhimpir" gebaut hat. Weitere Investoren sind der internationale Infrastruktur-Fonds Cap Asia (25%) und die Tapal Gruppe (20%). Das Fremdkapital stammt mehrheitlich von internationalen Banken.
"Ich bin froh, dass mit diesem Projekt ein erster Teil unseres 250 MW großen Rahmenvertrags zur Ausführung kommt. Und es zeigt auch, welches Potenzial der Markt Pakistan für Nordex noch bereit hält", so Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, Vorstand der Nordex SE.
