Successful start: The Renewables Academy (RENAC) now offers the international training programme 'Green Energy Finance Specialist' twice a year

Berlin (renewablepress) - The Berlin Renewables Academy (RENAC) responds to the growing demand in the financial sector for international training on renewable energies, energy efficiency and climate protection. The successful training programme 'Green Energy Finance Specialist' is therefore now offered annually in April and October. It is internationally accredited and provides valuable practical knowledge for financiers and project developers. Renewable energy and energy efficiency projects can thus be made more profitable and risks minimised.

The demand for specialists in the field of financing renewable energy systems in accordance with international standards will continue to grow in the coming years. With this new training programme, financiers and project developers can expand their portfolio with promising topics. The 'Green Energy Finance Specialist' was developed in 2017 and was awarded the German Innovation Prize for Climate and Environment (IKU) as part of the 'Green Banking' project in South East Asia.

"It is important for financiers to know technology-specific risks and risk avoidance strategies. This provides a comprehensive overview of the right assessment criteria at an early stage," says RENAC CEO Berthold Breid. "We are therefore delighted with the successful completion of the fully booked initial training. This shows the high demand for additional qualifications in this field. Only with this know-how in the financial sector can renewable energy projects be seriously evaluated both economically and technically ".

The Blended Learning Training, held in English, consists of a 20-week online training with eight different focal points and a 3-day presence seminar in Berlin. The "Green Energy Finance Specialist (GEFS)" programme is accredited by the Financial Accreditation Agency (FAA).

Graduates can obtain ECTS credits for the new blended learning programme 'Master of Science in Business Management' with a focus on 'Green Energy and Climate Finance'. This will be offered from October 2020 by RENAC in cooperation with the Berlin Professional School of the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR).

The Berlin-based Renewables Academy AG (RENAC) is one of the world's leading training academies for capacity building in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency. Since its foundation in 2008, more than 17,000 participants from over 150 countries have taken part in the various training programs.
