It will run from 22 August to 2 September 2022. There are two courses in this programme: Introduction to Renewable Energy Technologies and Management and Economics of Photovoltaic (PV) Projects. These courses are designed for individuals interested in a career transition to the renewable energy sector or who are currently working in the field and want to develop their skills and advance professionally.
“After a two-year break due to the pandemic, RENAC is excited to resume our popular in-person training courses and programmes,” says RENAC CEO Berthold Breid, “Renewable energy technologies need to be part of climate change solutions, as they are key to realising a more a sustainable and energy-independent future. Our courses and programmes help meet the demand for qualified experts, which remains very high worldwide.”
During the first week, individuals can take the Introduction to Renewable Energy Technologies course. This foundational course is designed to suit the interests of professionals with technical or non-technical backgrounds, who want to improve their career prospects by acquiring a comprehensive introduction to renewable energy (RE) technologies. Their suitability for different situations and in different parts of the world is evaluated. With this course, learners are also introduced to different measures for integrating RE electricity sources into the grid. During the second week, the Management and Economics of Photovoltaic (PV) Projects course covers PV markets and technologies, solar PV project management, and project financing.
Courses include in-person lectures, hands-on exercises, and a site visit. Content is delivered by experts in their respective fields, who utilise case studies and practical hands-on exercises. Through different teaching methods, participants work as part of a team with professionals from around the world. This enables participants to gain a theoretical as well as practical understanding of topics covered in the courses.
The two courses are offered in English and can be booked as a package or separately.
