Deutsche Windtechnik Service Shows Strong Growth
Bremen/Ostenfeld - Deutsche Windtechnik Service boasts a positive balance for the financial year 2011: Typical of this development is the clearly perceptible 39 percent increase in the number of wind turbines serviced under contract by Deutsche Windtechnik Service in 2011. In 2010, the operators of 620 turbines had concluded maintenance agreements with the non-proprietary service provider; by the end of this year this will have increased to 860. Accordingly, Deutsche Windtechnik Service showed a 40 percent increase in sales, set to reach a total of EUR 19 million in 2011. Sales for the entire Deutsche Windtechnik group of companies are forecast with EUR 27 million by the end of 2011.
This positive development can be attributed, among other things, to the successful start of non-proprietary services for SIEMENS® and AN BONUS® turbines in April 2011: With 58 turbines now under contract, Deutsche Windtechnik Service was thus able to establish a further mainstay in its investment portfolio (Vestas®, NEG Micon®, SIEMENS®, AN BONUS®) within a short period of time.
Increasing Demand for Full Maintenance
On the other hand it has also become clear that increasing numbers of operators are opting for full maintenance agreements with Deutsche Windtechnik Service: Out of the total of 860, 106 wind turbines are currently provided with 24/7 support by Deutsche Windtechnik Service within the scope of a full maintenance agreement. \"This constant upward trend shows that many operators recognize the further development of our services at a high-quality level at reasonable terms and conditions and want to take advantage of them for their own benefit,\" concludes Hauke Behrends, managing director at Deutsche Windtechnik Service.
Growth Based on the Workforce
The increase in demand also has ramifications in terms of personnel and technology: Thus in 2011 Deutsche Windtechnik Service succeeded in expanding its workforce with highly qualified personnel. At the same time the number of service vehicles was increased by almost 50 percent, while the company’s warehouse capacities were also adjusted. \"Our competent staff are our most important potential. At the beginning of 2012 more than 200 staff will be available in the various sectors of Deutsche Windtechnik Service, ready to master the upcoming tasks with skill and experience\", states chairman Matthias Brandt, emphasizing to the importance of labour for further growth.
Since its establishment in the year 2007 Deutsche Windtechnik Service has constantly shown entrepreneurial growth. With its focus on maintenance, control, rotor and tower, foundation, oil service, transformer stations and repowering, the company is today able to offer high-quality and lasting service for the complete wind turbine.
