Deutsche Windtechnik founds new entity: \"Deutsche Windtechnik Offshore und Consulting\"
Bremen - Deutsche Windtechnik has combined its strongly growing departments \"Offshore\" and \"Expertise & Consulting\" (onshore as well as offshore) and as a result started a reorganisation: From now on both areas will operate under the name of the newly established company \"Deutsche Windtechnik Offshore und Consulting GmbH\". Matthias Brandt, director of Deutsche Windtechnik AG, will lead the new entity with currently 12 employees. Jens Landwehr will be the head of technical operations. The company has its headquarters in Bremen.
Previously both business areas were conducted and gradually built up by Deutsche Windtechnik Rotor und Turm GmbH & Co. KG. The reason for the reorganisation was the increasingly independent business acumen of both business areas in connection with the growing numbers of orders, enquiries and constant market potential. The start-up of the entity enables a clear definition of responsibilities as well as an explicit focus on the respective tasks. In doing so, the new company \"Deutsche Windtechnik Offshore und Consulting\" especially transfers the high competence of Deutsche Windtechnik Group as a whole with regard to plant engineering, maintenance, expert opinions, consulting and QHSE-Management into the offshore branch. \"Right from the beginning of our offshore and consulting activities it was planned to let the areas stand on their own feet as soon as the business situation is solid. Now the time has come!\", Matthias Brandt describes the way to the start-up.
Seven years offshore experience
To date Deutsche Windtechnik can look back on seven years international offshore experience. Starting in 2006 with rotor blade repairs in the Dutch offshore wind farm Egmond aan Zee, a steadily increasing range of tasks with different requirements developed over time. Today, technical inspections and repairs of safety devices, risk assessments, segments of maintenance, rope access technology works as well as tower and foundation coatings are part of the offshore core business of Deutsche Windtechnik.
Technical expertise and consulting onshore as well as offshore
The increasing experience also showed that there is a strong need for competent consulting, expertise, plant and occupational safety especially in the offshore business. For this reason, in 2012 the on- and offshore-acting competence team \"Expertise and Consulting\" was founded. Evaluation units can be complete wind farms, single turbines or even single components. The evaluation of occupational safety orientates itself towards branch- and country-specific QHSE-requirements.
Complete servicing for wind energy plants
The company Deutsche Windtechnik with its headquarters in Bremen offers the entire package for the technical maintenance of wind energy plants from a single source. The focus areas of the service provider are machine service, rotor blade service, control, expert opinions & consulting, substations and repowering. The company predominantly works onshore but increasingly also offshore. For more information visit
