Capcora accompanies oekostrom AG on the acquisition of the repowering wind farm Wansleben
Frankfurt am Main (renewablepress) - The consulting firm Capcora, specialized on real assets, advised Vienna-based oekostrom AG on the acquisition of the onshore wind project Wansleben with 7.2 MW. Seller of the windfarm is the OSTWIND Group from Regensburg, which already sold a Czech wind farm to oekostrom AG in 2017.
The Wansleben windfarm which is located in Saxony-Anhalt consists of two Vestas V136 wind turbines with a nominal output of 3.6 MW each and a total capacity of 7.2 MW. The windfarm is a repowering project. Three Südwind S70 turbines from 2002 have been replaced by two powerful new ones. Only one of the new wind turbines can generate 6 times the yield of the old systems.
Shortly after receiving the BImSchG approval in December 2017, the wind park was able to secure a feed-in tariff in accordance with the current EEG 2017 at the beginning of 2018. Construction of the repowering project began in May 2018 and commissioning took place in December of the same year. The wind farm is expected to produce about 25 million kWh of electricity per year and can thus supply more than 8,000 households with climate-friendly electricity.
"We are pleased about the acquisition of another wind project in Germany. Moreover, we are proud to further expand our partnership with OSTWIND and our advisor Capcora", says Lukas Stühlinger, Member of the Executive Board of oekostrom AG responsible for production agendas.
Capcora focus as a buy-side advisor was on the transaction management, financial modeling and commercial due diligence.
