© CapcoraFrankfurt am Main (renewablepress) - Capcora, a leading financial advisory boutique with a focus on the energy transition, is expanding its presence in the Nordic market with the appointment of Øystein Kvarme as a Senior Advisor. Based in Oslo, Øystein will support the firm's M&A and Debt Advisory activities and play a key role in advancing Capcora’s position across Northern Europe.
Øystein Kvarme brings more than 15 years of experience in the renewable energy space, having held leadership positions as a developer and industrial CEO, as well as an investor in Private Equity. His work has consistently focused on the intersection of capital and infrastructure, enabling successful transactions and business growth.
Throughout his career, he has executed deals across Europe with companies such as Statkraft, Encavis, and HitecVision, covering a wide range of technologies including photovoltaics (PV), onshore wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and emerging sectors such as carbon capture and storage (CCS) and hydrogen (H2).
In his role at Capcora, Øystein will contribute to sourcing and structuring transactions in the Nordic market, leveraging his dual experience on both the buy- and sell-side. His focus will be on tailored financial solutions for energy transition assets, particularly in PV, wind, and storage.
Øystein is no stranger to Capcora, having previously collaborated with the firm on various initiatives. His commitment to long-term partnerships that foster mutual trust is a principle that aligns closely with Capcora’s relationship-driven advisory approach.
“We are very pleased to welcome Øystein to the Capcora team,” said Alexander Enrique Kuhn and Jochen Magerfleisch, Managing Partners at Capcora. “His proven track record and in-depth knowledge of the Nordic energy market will significantly strengthen our regional presence and add value to our clients active in the energy transition.”
Reflecting on his new role, Øystein Kvarme added: "Capcora has built a strong reputation in the European energy transition market by combining deep financial expertise with pragmatic deal execution. I am excited to contribute to the firm’s Nordic expansion and to support clients in bringing capital and projects together in a meaningful way."
With over 35 transactions closed annually, Capcora ranks among the most active financial advisors in the European energy transition space. Recent landmark transactions include the structuring of a €100 million junior debt facility and a €266 million senior framework financing for ENERPARC AG in Germany, as well as advising on the sale of an 88 MWp solar PV project in Bulgaria from CHINT Green Energy to PPC S.A.
The Nordics are no exception. Capcora recently advised the shareholders of Norway-based sustainable aviation fuel developer Norsk e-Fuel in bringing Germany’s Prime Capital on board as a strategic investor. In 2022, Capcora also supported turbine manufacturer Enercon in raising a €118 million senior bridge facility from DNB Bank ASA for a 134.4 MW onshore wind project in Sweden.
With Øystein’s addition, Capcora aims to broaden its scope and deepen its impact across the Nordic region - further reinforcing its role as a trusted partner in Europe’s energy transition.
