Andreas Bodensohn will head the new Hamburg office
© CapcoraFrankfurt am Main (renewablepress) - Capcora, a consulting firm specialized on real assets, has opened a new office in Hamburg. The representative office will be headed by Andreas Bodensohn, who has already been active as a Director at Capcora since May 2020 and is particularly dedicated to M&A and financing mandates in the German and Scandinavian regions.
Capcora currently employs over 20 people at its headquarters in Frankfurt am Main and its office in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia. With the office opening in the Hanseatic city, Capcora continues its growth and strengthens its market presence in northern Germany.
"Hamburg is a nucleus of the renewable energy sector in Germany - not only project developers and manufacturers from the wind industry are located here, but leading investors and industry teams from the banks are also represented. Even if the importance of office space in COVID times can be justifiably questioned, as a consulting firm the proximity to our clients in the north of Germany as well as Scandinavia is important to us," says Jochen Magerfleisch, Managing Partner at Capcora.
Andreas Bodensohn, whom Capcora brought on board last year, is to head the new representative office. Bodensohn most recently spent seven years at Swiss fund manager re:cap global investors ag, where he was involved in more than 40 successful M&A transactions with a volume of over 1 billion Euros as well as structuring and realizing nine-digit financings as part of the investment management team.
"I am looking forward to representing Capcora in Hamburg. The German renewable energy market is currently in a state of upheaval. Especially in the photovoltaic segment, projects are currently already being developed on a merchant basis. In addition, Germany as an industrial location offers increasingly interesting purchase opportunities via corporate PPAs. The increasing complexity in financing and sales that this entails requires intelligent support, which we at Capcora can offer in all facets," explains Andreas Bodensohn, Director at Capcora.
In addition to its international mandates, Capcora is currently advising on eight parallel transactions in Germany with a total volume of over 500 MW. These include M&A and financing transactions in the photovoltaic, onshore wind and green gas sectors, where the company has an excellent track record.
In 2020 alone, the consulting firm with a focus on renewable energies and real estate was able to successfully implement almost 30 mandates - including the largest mezzanine financing in Europe with the Hamburg-based ENERPARC Group as initiator.
Capcora is a consulting firm, specialized on real assets. Capcora procures equity, mezzanine and debt financing for energy and infrastructure projects, real estate, and medium-sized companies. The focus is especially on mezzanine financing for the recapitalization of tied-up liquidity in operating assets as well as for bridge financing of developments and construction measures in the area of renewable energies (photovoltaics, onshore wind) and real estate through alternative financing sources. In addition, Capcora acts as transaction manager for M&A processes (buy and sell side advisory).
