Nordex beteiligt sich an Offshore-Projekt
Hamburg (iwr-pressedienst) - Die Nordex SE hat einen Kaufvertrag zum Erwerb von rund 40% der Geschäftsanteile an der Projektgesellschaft zur Entwicklung des Offshore Windparks "Arcadis Ost 1" geschlossen. Der geplante Standort befindet sich innerhalb der 12-Seemeilen-Zone in der deutschen Ostsee, 17 Kilometer nordöstlich von Rügen und weist Wassertiefen von ca. 40 Meter auf. In der ersten Baustufe sollen hier rund 70 Turbinen mit einer Leistung von zusammen mindestens 300 MW errichtet werden. Bei einer mittleren Windgeschwindigkeit von 9,6 m/s und rund 3.600 Volllaststunden wird der Jahresenergieertrag des Parks auf über 1.100 Gigawattstunden kalkuliert. Das entspricht dem Strombedarf von 282.000 Haushalten und vermeidet den Ausstoß von über einer Millionen Tonnen Kohlendioxid.
Die Errichtung der ersten Anlagen ist für das Jahr 2014 geplant. Dabei gehen die Gesellschafter davon aus, dass die Genehmigung im Jahr 2011 erfolgen wird. Die Antragsfläche ist als maritimes Eignungsgebiet ausgewiesen und die vorbereitenden Arbeiten der Genehmigung sind schon weit fortgeschritten. Nordex hat bereits im vergangenen Jahr mit der Entwicklung einer neuen Großanlage für den Offshore-Einsatz begonnen.
"Insbesondere in Deutschland sind die klimapolitischen Ziele der Regierung nur durch den verstärkten Bau von Offshore Windparks realisierbar. Deshalb entsteht hier in den kommenden Jahren ein Marktsegment, das nachhaltig für eine jährliche Neubauleistung von über fünf Gigawatt steht. Nach ersten Testinstallationen in der Ostsee wird "Arcadis Ost 1" unser Referenzprojekt im Offshoremarkt", so Thomas Richterich, Vorstandvorsitzender der Nordex SE.
Mehrheitsgesellschafter der Projektgesellschaft ist die WV Energie AG, eine 50-prozentige Tochter der Wintershall AG. Die anderen 50% an WV Energie AG werden von mehr als 200 deutschen Versorgungsunternehmen gehalten. Der Erwerb unterliegt noch einigen Vorbehalten, insbesondere der Genehmigung der zuständigen Fusionskontrollbehörden und Aufsichtsgremien.
