对绿色能源股票而言又是糟糕的一年 — RENIXX World 股票指数下跌了 54.4%。
明斯特 - 绿色能源投资者对于 2011 年的股票市场行情再次感到失望。截止年末，可再生能源国际股票指数 RENIXX World (Renewable Energy Industrial Index) 为241.28 点，较去年的 529.63 点下跌了54.4%，位于明斯特 (Münster) 的国际再生能源经济论坛 (IWR) 发布报告称，再生能源市场指标在 2010 年已损失了 29.3%。
中国风能和太阳能公司是最大的输家，其股价下跌介于 60% 至 80% 之间。美国超导公司(American Superconductor) 的股价更是下跌近87%，创造了最高的下跌记录。德国公司 Nordex 股价下跌 28.3%，SMA Solar 下跌 39.3%，SolarWorld 下跌 56.5%，Centrotherm 下跌 63.6%。在全球工业企业的股票承受了巨额损失的同时，再生能源企业可以证明它们能做得更好。意大利公司 Enel Green Power（上涨 2.7%）和西班牙清洁能源公司 EDP Renovaveis（上涨 0.8%）就是逆势而动的佼佼者。
股价暴跌的原因是公司目前的财务业绩令人失望。“2012 年才会转好”，IWR 领导人诺贝特•阿尔诺赫 (Norbert Allnoch ) 博士说。
