Nordex erhält dritten Großauftrag aus Südafrika
Nordex baut 134,4-MW Windpark / Tochtergesellschaft in Kapstadt auf Wachstumskurs
Hamburg (iwr-pressedienst) - Mit einem neuen Großauftrag baut der Turbinen-Hersteller Nordex sein Geschäft in Südafrika weiter aus. Der unabhängige Kraftwerksbetreiber CENNERGI hat Nordex mit der Lieferung und der schlüsselfertigen Errichtung des 134,4-MW-Windparks "Amakhala Emoyeni" beauftragt. Wesentliche Anteilseigner von CENNERGI sind der südafrikanische Minenkonzern EXXARO Resources und die indische Tata Power.
Die Bauarbeiten für die komplette Infrastruktur des Windparks am Standort südlich von Bedford in der südafrikanischen Provinz Eastern Cape wird Nordex im dritten Quartal 2014 starten. Die Errichtung der 56 Turbinen vom Typ N117/2400 soll dann im zweiten Quartal 2015 folgen. Nach Beendigung der Netzanschlussarbeiten ist die Übergabe des Windparks für Juni 2016 geplant. Im Lieferumfang enthalten ist zudem ein Servicevertrag über die Laufzeit von zunächst zehn Jahren.
"Amakhala Emoyeni" zählt zu den Projekten aus der zweiten Runde des südafrikanischen Auktionsverfahrens REIPP, die das südafrikanische Energieministerium im Mai 2012 genehmigt und mit einem 20-jährigen Stromeinspeisevertrag ausgestattet hat. Die nächste Ausschreibungsrunde soll im August des laufenden Jahres erfolgen. Ziel ist es, den Anteil der erneuerbaren Energien an der Stromversorgung in Südafrika weiter auszubauen.

Zudem ist es eine weiterer wichtiger Baustein, um ein solides Fundament für unsere neue Tochtergesellschaft in Kapstadt zu legen", so Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, Vorstand der Nordex SE.
Vor dem Projekt "Amakhala Emoyeni" wurde Nordex bereits im November 2012 für zwei Großprojekte in Südafrika mit insgesamt 180 MW beauftragt, die sich bereits in der Bauphase befinden. Damit erreicht Nordex einen Marktanteil von insgesamt etwa 26% aus den ersten beiden Ausschreibungsrunden und zählt so zu den führenden Anbietern in Südafrika.
