Deutsche Windtechnik and RWE Renewables Polska Sp. z o.o. conclude Full Service Contract for Siemens® 2.3 Wind Farm in Poland
Bremen - As of 30.10.2014, RWE Renewables Polska Sp. z o.o. will be relying on Deutsche Windtechnik to provide full servicing for its Polish wind farm „Suwalki“ comprising 18 wind turbines of the type, SWT-2.3-93VS.
„This is the second large wind farm in Poland for which we are responsible for an energy supplier: 24 Vestas® V80 systems in the north and now the Siemens® wind farm with 18 SWT-2.3 in the east of Poland. This ensures our Polish network will become more consolidated, more flexible and more variable in terms of the type of turbines we service“, explains Lars Behrends, Managing Director of Deutsche Windtechnik Service Polen Sp. z o.o., with regard to corporate development in Poland. To ensure ideal servicing, Deutsche Windtechnik is opening a new service location directly inside the new wind farm. The wind turbine, SWT-2.3-93VS, is one of the most installed Siemens® turbine systems worldwide, and is now also being serviced by Deutsche Windtechnik.
Growing Demand for International Service
„We are more than pleased about the growing confidence being shown in our work across Europe“, says Board member, Matthias Brandt. „In addition to Poland, further business contacts are currently being developed with operators from Spain, Scotland and Ireland. It’s not just our expertise and know-how which is in demand, but especially our ability to develop individual concepts together with our customers and to adjust these to prevailing outline conditions and the infrastructure in the respective regions.“ Deutsche Windtechnik currently fulfills fixed service contracts for 1,640 wind turbines. More than a third of these are covered by Full Servicing Contracts – and this number is steadily increasing.
Complete Onshore and Offshore Service
In addition to machine servicing, our company focuses on rotor blade service, tower and foundation, control systems, consulting, offshore services, substations and Repowering, ensuring that complete technical servicing of wind turbines is provided from under one roof.
