Frankfurt am Main (renewablepress) - LCF Alliance (“LCF”) adds another photovoltaic project in Italy to its renewable energy portfolio. The solar park with a capacity of around 2.5 MWp is located in Sicily. The seller of the project is the Renewable Energy Infrastructure Fund II (REIF II) advised by Goodyields Capital Group ("Goodyields"). Frankfurt-based consulting firm Capcora acted as M&A advisor on the side of Goodyields in this transaction.

The park which is located in the municipality of Acate, Sicily went online in August 2011 and is currently operating under the Conto Energia IV scheme, securing a 20-year feed-in tariff that remains in effect until August 2031. In total, the project has the capacity to provide renewable energy to 1,000 households.

LCF is a seasoned aggregator and operator, actively engaged in the Italian renewable energy market since 2017, with a strategic focus on expanding its IPP (Independent Power Producer) portfolio. The primary emphasis is on aggregating small-scale feed-in tariff accredited solar PV plants in Italy. To date, LCF has successfully aggregated, refinanced, and enhanced the performance of over 110 assets, amounting to a total capacity of more than 100 MW.

Christian Auer, Head of Investments at Goodyields said: “The successful sale of the Italian asset underlines the performance of the Renewable Energy Infrastructure Fund II delivering a return to its investors well above target return.”

Legally, LCF Alliance was advised by Rödl & Partner and Goodyields was supported by Watson Farley & Williams in the transaction, with Capcora as M&A advisor of Goodyields.
