OSTWIND at the WindEnergy 2016 in Hamburg

Regensburg/Strasbourg/Prague (renewablepress) - At the world’s leading expo for wind energy, the OSTWIND Group will be showing that it is well placed to tackle the challenges presented by the 2017 Renewable Energies Act and will be announcing another branch office as well as new partnerships.

“Changing parameters and growing competition present a challenge for the wind energy sector. We supply solutions!” This was what finance director Bernd Kiermeier said today ahead of WindEnergy 2016 in confidently outlining the OSTWIND Group’s claim in view of the new Renewable Energies Act and the tendering procedure associated with it.

At the same time, the OSTWIND directors Dr. Rolf Bungart and Jörg Zinner announced that in October another office will be opening in Bremen in order to increase the pace of project development. Besides the headquarters of the corporate group in Regensburg, it represents the fourth OSTWIND office in Germany alone. In addition, this medium-sized family company wants to respond to the increasingly fierce competition with new partnerships “on equal terms” and customised models for cooperation. “But particularly in the tendering procedure under the Renewable Energies Act, our solid location selection, reliable planning and swift implementation will continue to form the basis for delivering successful wind projects,” stressed the two managing directors in unison.

Information events at the OSTWIND stand
Two events during the expo will underscore not only the national ambitions of OSTWIND Group, but also its international aspirations too. For example, on Wednesday, 28 September 2016, from 2.00 pm, representatives of the Franco-German wind industry will meet at the OSTWIND stand (Hall A1, Stand 428) to discuss the different developments in wind energy in the two neighbouring countries. This event, which will be staged jointly with the Franco-German Office for the Energy Transition (DFBEW), will be opened by the French Consul General in Hamburg, Laurent Toulouse.

On Thursday, 29 September 2016, from 2.30 pm, Jürgen Quentin will shed light on the current state of the energy transition particularly in Germany from the perspective of the Berlin-based specialist agency “Wind Energy on Land”. “A close look at the Renewable Energies Act 2017 – checking the facts for the future of onshore wind power” is the title of his talk, which promises to provide solid impetus for a lively discussion at the expo on the future prospects for the wind sector.
