Changes in the board of directors of the juwi group

- Carsten Bovenschen new CEO
- Christian Arnold takes over operational business in Germany

Wörrstadt (renewablepress) - The juwi AG’s supervisory board appointed Carsten Bovenschen and Christian Arnold to the company's executive board at today's meeting. From November 15, 2021, Carsten Bovenschen will be the new CEO of the juwi group. He will also be responsible for the finance department. On the same date, Christian Arnold takes over the operational business in Germany as a member of the Management Board. Stephan Hansen is still responsible for the international business of the juwi group. The juwi board is now fully occupied again.

Bovenschen has been active in the field of renewable energies and their storage for almost 15 years. Most recently he was CFO at Akasol AG in Darmstadt, a manufacturer of high-performance battery systems. Previously, the 57-year-old business graduate held managerial positions at various companies, including as CFO at photovoltaic company Solarwatt.

Christian Arnold, 51 years old and a graduate engineer, has been with the juwi group since 2017, after having previously worked as an OEM Field Service Leader at Swiss General Electric / ALSTOM AG. At juwi, he was most recently the technical director of the “Renewable Energies Germany” division.

The accelerated expansion of renewable energies is an important cornerstone for the implementation of the electricity transition as part of our 'Mannheim Model'. Carsten Bovenschen and Christian Arnold, together with Stephan Hansen, will play a key role on this path", Dr. Müller adds.

Dr. Stephan Küßner will leave the board of directors of juwi AG on November 30, 2021. Küßner was temporarily appointed by MVV Energie AG as a member of the board at juwi AG on September 1, 2020, where he was most recently responsible for project development in Germany in addition to the finance department. "The entire supervisory board of juwi AG thanks Dr. Küßner expressly for his successful work since his appointment. We wish him all the best and continued success in his future tasks within the MVV Group, ”says Dr. Müller.
