Solarstrom steigt in der EU auf über 100 Milliarden Kilowattstunden
EU-Solarstrom steigt 2018 auf Rekordwert
© nata777_7 / Fotolia.comMünster (iwr-pressedienst) - Die Solaranlagen in Europa steuern 2018 auf einen Rekordwert bei der Erzeugung von Solarstrom zu. Gestern (12.10.2018) wurde bereits die Marke von 100 Milliarden Kilowattstunden (Mrd. kWh) Solarstrom überschritten (2017: 21.11.2017) und damit so früh wie noch nie, teilte das Internationale Wirtschaftsforum Regenerative Energien (IWR ) in Münster mit. Das geht aus einer IWR-Auswertung der Daten der europäischen Übertragungsnetzbetreiber hervor.
Im Länder-Ranking der europäischen Solarstromerzeugung 2018 führt aktuell (Stand: 12.10.2018) Deutschland mit 38,1 Mrd. kWh vor Italien mit 15,6 Mrd. kWh, Spanien (10,7 Mrd. kWh) und Großbritannien mit 10,2 Mrd. kWh. Frankreich rangiert mit 8,6 Mrd. kWh Solarstrom auf Platz 5, vor Belgien (3,2 Mrd. kWh) und Griechenland (2,9 Mrd. kWh).
Nach einer IWR-Hochrechnung wird die Stromerzeugung aus Solarkraftwerken in den EU-Mitgliedsstaaten im Jahr 2018 voraussichtlich auf rd. 113 Milliarden Kilowattstunden steigen (2017: rd. 104 Mrd. kWh). Das reicht rechnerisch bereits aus, um die beiden Länder Portugal und Griechenland zusammen ein ganzes Jahr lang mit Strom zu versorgen.
